On another note, people yelling “cease fire” don’t always have good intentions. I ran into a couple guys that were yelling it and when I showed up they mowed me down.

I have an extremely satisfying revenge story
I was a PMC at interchange and started hiding by extract. Someone comes by talking in Russian. I immediately notice it's a PMC bear, I am one too. I pull out my hatchet and he doesn't notice and starts gesturing to leave so I go with him and it doesn't work. He realizes it, looks at me with my knife out crouched and kills me.
Well I recently selected only one server to play to I queued up for interchange scav. Oh you bet your ass that bastard was there and as we got to the extract and he was standing on my PMCs dead body I blew his brains out with my shotgun.

ID: h8nj7vfI had the same thing happen to me today. I met two other pmcs at the interchange extract we all take out knives, wiggle, and say cease fire. I drop an mcable to share my loot and be friendly with them as we wait for a scav. One of them shoots me in the head. I am on one server and scav back in and find the same duo waiting at extract. Mosin one of them in the head. Sadly it wasn't the guy who killed me but hopefully his duo buddy gets pissed at his friend for being an asshat lol.

And the amount of posts I keep seeing about how scavs need to lower their weapons because you can't trust scavs lol.
It doesn't matter if you're a scav or a PMC, it's the person controlling it that's not to be trusted.
Several times yesterday I ran into hostile PMCs, literally camping on the exfil point murdering scavs. Like wow, you got about 40k worth of garbage equipment cool.
Another time we were mid exfil, countdown going down, and the PMC guns down all of us scavs that were there.

Because the game is designed with assholes in mind.
There's no voip but sure let's make extracts that require 2 hostile groups to trust each other when the only incentive to this entire game is kos and loot.
Just like OG DayZ people are literally psychopaths in games like this. Always shoot on sight or avoid completely. For every clip of people being bros there's 100 raids of people being huge dickheads it's not worth the headache

One time we invited a guy into our group when we were looting Balota (sp?) and he hung with us for a solid hour before walking up to one of us when we were hiding and started chopping him up with the fire axe. We killed him. And our buddy who got caught in the crossfire.
Once shot a guy and told him my only friend is a full stomach when he asked to be friends and he had food.
Tons of memories like that. It's a shame the standalone was so bad.

for the people saying he was a low level, he was level 44.
for the people saying it's for a quest, he's level 44, there's no way he hasn't done that yet.
and to the people saying "I'm not entitled to an extract" or "it's a shooter game" , no fucking shit, I know I'm not entitled to an extract and it's a shooting game. That doesn't take away from the fact that what he did was a dick move and people are entitled to post and discuss about whatever they want.
I'm not asking the question "What do you even get out of doing this" literally. It's more of asking why people even do this. Why people go out of their way especially for no gain. It gets tiring especially when some people in reality out of the internet, without an anonymity mask are like this as well.
And no I'm not crying that I didn't extract or whatever it is that you say, I lost nothing but a bit of time. I just don't understand people like these. Or really you guys who protect people like these.

Me and 4 other scavs were gonna extract with a PMC on reserve (who also gave me some goodies) and some dude blew all of us up with the fucking grenade launcher 2 seconds before we got out

Hope these guys get bullshit naded. The one where it desyncs right back at their feet and lose a nice 1.5mill gearset to a scav. Wiped clean preferably everything taken.
