Question about ff12 I have the game on the switch anything I should know about it before I start

ID: hxg8zwx

nope, it's pretty straightforward. been playing it for a while and haven't encountered any issues specific to the switch port. just keep in mind that it will be the izjs version

ID: hxgb4gd

Keep in mind how different and strange the combat may seem at first, and that it can be quite a long experience. It's well worth putting the time into it, its one of my favorites in the series.

ID: hxgo43j

Don't be afraid, Luke, the light side of the force is with you, always !

Regarding Dissidia NT on Steam:

Does it have single player content or is all multiplayer? Is it fun for a casual player? I remember liking the PSP games but I never actually finished them.
ID: hxgz8r1
Yes, there are single-player challenges, and if you buy the full version, there's a story mode. Multiplayer is pretty much dead these days, so single-player is pretty much the only way to play it now. Fun is subjective, but the general consensus seems to be that it's not a great game. There are some good ideas with it, but it failed to live up to its predecessors. I enjoyed it for a while, but it started to wear on me about halfway through the story. You're likely going to have to do quite a bit of grinding to get through that story too, so it's fairly repetitive.

Hey guys! So I haven't touched a FF game since probably '98-'00. I recently bought a Switch OLED to upgrade from my Lite and decided to pick up a FF game. Any of the digital or physical are fine so that won't stop me from any of your suggestions. I'm leaning toward X/X2 because I never played them but always wanted to, but since there's VII, VIII, IX etc on there for digital as well, I thought you guys might want to drop in some thoughts!

I'd appreciate everyone's help!

ID: hxh202p

They are all very good FF, so I'd say pick the one that interest you the most.

FF8 has a very weird sub system for growing the power of your characters though, so maybe not that one directly.

I'm clearly missing something easy. Logged in via Steam and it said my account was expired so I clicked the link and renewed. Now I'm trying to log in and I'm getting the same message.

Any ideas how to fix?

ID: hxk6iq0

There is a reddit for FF14, you'll have better chance to have an answer to your post there 🙂

Reddit just asked if FF is a mature subreddit… should I say yes so we don’t her ads here?

ID: hxd2m4n

Fuck.

There you go

The two biggest things that turned me off of FFIII originally were the fact that the game forces you into certain party setups but with class change penalties and the fact the final dungeon is so long with no ways to save inbetween (aside from emulator save states), heard the pixel remaster changes these a bit but also rebalances the game in some ways so wondering, is FFIII PR reasonably easier, about the same difficulty or too easy?

ID: hwzh4k4

The game from what I heard is easier (I've only played the PR version) It has an auto save feature where any floor changes, the game will autosave. So you don't need to do the final dungeon in one go. I personally didn't have trouble with anything in the game except for the final boss but grinding will easily solve that issue.

ID: hx6ue4y

don’t know if you’ve looked into since this comment, but yes they removed the “job sickness” system so you can switch jobs on the fly with no penalties, so I wouldn’t say the PR version is easier, just less obtuse. The auto save changes and the job sickness change made it go from one of my least favorite FF games into one that I love

Is the VII Remake really worth the money?

ID: hx6ydvp

Yes, like the other said, it is a really good game. The combat is top tier in my opinion, they finally threaded that needle of action and ATB.

ID: hx6lce8

It's a really good game, especially if you don't treat it as the original story but updated for modern times.

It's best played, and understood, in the context of being a sequel to the original storyline including FF7, Crisis Core, and Advent Children.

So if you just want a really good game that's Final Fantasy continuing the legacy of Final Fantasy 7 it is definitely worth the money. If you are looking to experience Final Fantasy 7 for the first time and think this is the way forward, it is not really worth the money in that sense. Still good, though.

ID: hx5rnkf

I didn't play it, but I never heard something negative about it so far.

Am I the only one that thinks the new FFVI pixel remaster looks....really bad? It's my favorite game of all time, and it pains me to say it, but the sprites dont look nearly as clean, and the colors are way too bright

10 : Anonymous2022/02/14 20:03 ID: hwy5new

Regarding the pixel remasters:

Do any of them have controller support on Steam or iPad?

Do any of them work with Steam Link?

ID: hwyjxv9

I play them with the stream link and it’s great

ID: hwyg1r0

I don't know about iPad or Steam Link, but my PS4 controller works perfectly with all of them on Steam. I would assume XBOX controllers work just fine as well.

11 : Anonymous2022/02/15 01:29 ID: hwzac6r

do i need separate purchases per device for the iOs version of FFIX?

ID: hwzh9j4

As long as your using the same apple account you shouldn't need to purchase the game again

Anyone 100% FF1 PR? How long did it take you to find Warmech? Been at it multiple hours for days.

ID: hx1bxhm

Oof. RNG is a harsh mistress.

It took me less than an hour. Nowhere near as bad as getting all the rare drops in FFIV PR.

ID: hx7x652

I recall some talk early on that the game used a pseudo step count for random battles. I don't think this was totally confirmed but : if you are not saving between sessions you might be walking the same Warmech-less random battles.

What’s the earliest I can get a weapon with No Encounters in FFX?

ID: hx23qfr

I believe Ghosts can drop them in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth.

ID: hx9ulyy

No Encounters is supposed to be an armor ability. It can be obtained earliest on armors dropped by Ghosts in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth.

No Encounters can be obtained on a weapon due to a glitch - these weapons drop from an optional boss that can be fought once you have the airship (I'm avoiding spoilers, but can provide specifics). It functions the same as it would on an armor.

14 : Anonymous2022/02/15 20:22 ID: hx2we20

How do I get Yuffie in the original Final Fantasy 7?

ID: hx2yqpb

Yuffie is a random battle in any of the Forests on the map. You'll need to do certain actions / answer certain ways to get her to join. Once she's joined you have to do her side story in the Wutai region to get her to join you permanently.

ID: hxd37xx

Find her in the forests around Junon.

Then you need to answer her questions correctly and you can get her

15 : Anonymous2022/02/17 04:10 ID: hx9n06q

I played FFXIII when it released, and dropped it 2 hours in. This week I decided to give it another shot, because I've been thirsting for a 'new' Final Fantasy experience. I wish I would have known how damn fun the combat in this game is. And while the story seems to completely rely on the datalog entries for exposition dumps, it's growing on me.

That being said, I'm on chapter 9, in the Fifth Ark. I didn't want to search too hard and spoil anything, but I would like to know what semi-optimal/optimal builds are that I should be working towards? I've already been getting 3x bonus on upgrades and spamming crankshafts. But I'm wondering if I should start hoarding the materials for higher tier weapons as I assume they have way higher level caps than 30-40.

16 : Anonymous2022/02/17 04:53 ID: hx9rc40

So I want to replay FFVIII, but mainly for the story so it's okay for the gameplay to be slightly faster (but not worse ofc).

Is it better if I get the OG PC or the Remastered version and get some mod for it?

ID: hxa5aps

both versions have booster that speed up the game in many ways, so any is fine.

Final Fanntasy X2 New Game Plus Question

Hi everyone,

I have a question about new game plus in ffx2. So I was trying to do the 100% completion in one go and the stupid guide I was using failed to tell me you have to catch a chocobo before chapter 4 in order to get the comm sphere scene with Classic, ugh. So now even though I sided with the Youth League I cannot get 100%, I’ll be off by like .2 or something.

If I do new game plus, is there anything I am absolutely required to do again even though I’ve probably already done it in the first playthrough? Like for instance listening to maechen blabber in chapter 1 or the whistling in chapter 3. Like what is absolutely required to do again so I can skip most of the stuff I’ve already done? If you guys can help me out I’d really appreciate it, I can’t seem to find anything on this online.

Thanks!

Really if you just side with the other team you will get your hundred. You shouldn't have to do anything else.

Hey, so I just finished a replay of Crisis Core. About the the ending, after Zack is shot, he blacks out and we hear what sounds like a gunfight ensue, with someone seemingly firing a pistol. Can anyone explain what happened? Who showed up?

ID: hxjbozl

no one really, they are just finishing him off, in the original he is shoot mutiple times on the ground

19 : Anonymous2022/02/19 19:40 ID: hxm4s81

Any of you guys got tips on enjoying The First Soldier? I've finally got a phone good enough to play it, played one game and despite the awkward controls quite liked it. Any advice for a right newbie?

Enemies have fixed strength so yes, you can grind to get stronger.
