Thinking about Vivi puts a smile on my face every time.
Even though X is super hit in Japan and Yuna is the Japanese's favourite character according to the FF poll, Vivi still managed to grab the no.2 position, which illustrates how universally loved Vivi is.
Edit: just checked the poll again, i've rmb it wrongly, i must have filtered out everything from VII; 1st = Cloud, 2nd = Yuna, 3rd = Aerith, 4th = Vivi

Look how honest he is saying he actually wants Queen Brahne to die becoz he hates her but still feeling sympathetic and kinda wanna cry seeing Garnet cry.

I've always considered Vivi as my absolute favourite boy but on my latest playthrough I realised I have far more appreciation for Steiner's character arc more than anyone elses.

Sometimes I search for articles or videos on why Vivi is the best character, and when ppl elaborate how good Vivi is and I’ve reconfirmed the motto of “Vivi is the best boi”, I feel reassured and contented with humanity.

Vivi was so good the have to give his story to Zidane so that he could be a good protagonist.
It's true btw, up until CD3 Vivi's plot was his existential crisis bc he didn't know if he was more than a weapon... Same with Zidane an the Gaia plot

I don't like IX all that much, but Vivi is one of the best characters in any FF game.

ID: h02x8kyI met a handful who do, and I get where they're coming from, even if I disagree. The game is not without flaws, and different stories will resonate with different people. I'm not without controversial FF opinions myself, ha, ha.

ID: h039g0fHate is strong but it’s one of my least favorite FFs. It’s incredibly slow and I hate almost all the characters (Vivi is alright, Amarant is fine). Zidane is easily my least liked FF character ever.
Really like the soundtrack though. I’ve been meaning to give it another fair shake one of these days, but my backlog is pretty massive.

Vivi is top tier. Doesn’t he also rank really in both Japan and the west. Him and Terra are my two kids who deserve all the happiness.

I’m gonna be downvoted to oblivion but whatever. Never really cared for Vivi. Don’t like his character at all. Obvs the design is iconic from earlier entries though.

Vivi was iconic not only bc of ffix but also because it was the iconic black mage of the entire series. To me that’s what really connected everyone together. Also pretty sure it was one of the few sprites used also as an enemy

I always thought Freya was the best character in 9. Vivi’s opening plot was annoying and I was excepting him to be a her. Those aren’t big problems, but it did leave a permanent jagged sloggy taint on the plot.
