- More fun times in outriders, biomutant- waiting for patch. Cyberpunk- waiting for next gen upgrade. Necromunda-waiting for patch. Industry needs to get its act together.
-
Still someone got profit from those games even if they are broken. Industry won't change heck even costumer behavior haven't changed still after all those years.
ID: h08ml5cID: h070gdmYep, gamers will pretty much fall for anything.
ID: h07lt2tBiomutant was still more of a complete game. It's got very minor bugs compared to this one. None of them have kept me from playing or enjoying the game. They really need to take a look at what a complete game at launch looks like.
ID: h08lyq5CDPR actually got hit pretty hard after Cyber during their earnings report, we just gotta keep it up
No preorders.
Ever.
-
Well biomutant is a drm free game so i praise it for that alone.
ID: h07suskSo is cyberpunk lol
-
The difference is Biomutant is completely functional and exactly what they presented it as. The patch is just a QOL update based on feedback.. Please don't lump these together.
-
Biomutant needs a patch? Compared to the others I've had only small issues that didnt mess with the game? Am I missing something I'm like 20hrs in so?
ID: h07605oBiomutant waiting for patch where? I am over 30 hours into this game and having a complete blast. Don't trust what reviewers are saying about that game.
ID: h084d5jBiomutant has a patch coming, but it seems like it's largely to address some criticisms (new harder mode coming, changes to the narration, etc) which is fine.
Making adjustments to make a game more fun is fine. Making adjustments to fix shit you released in a broken state needs to stop.
Biomutant might not be for everyone, and a lot of complaints are warranted, but it's far from the broken shit we've been getting lately.
ID: h07izyfThere's definitely some massive fps drops on occasion, but I haven't encountered any bugs. Fantastic game.
ID: h083k59Especially don't trust the reviewers who plowed through the main story in 2 or 3 hours time. I ended up looking at one reviewer who between himself and his friend put around 120 hours into the game and had mainly good things to say about it.
ID: h08mpl1Biomutant is great imo. I enjoyed it way more than outriders and cyberpunk the crafting really got me hooked
-
Are people still defending this game to the death now or do we finally realize it's shit, practically unplayable and literally disgusting that it's been that way since April 1st?
ID: h07nxsfYup the devs asking for bug feedback from the community was the final straw for me. "Now that you’ve all paid full price for our "finished" product, y’all mind being our testers for free?" Lmao what a dogshit business strategy.
ID: h0845p7Specially when they told us during the beta that the game will be polished. Thank god i had gamepass, but the fact that they even charged $60 in the first place. Even without glitches only feels worth maybe 40
ID: h07t6eaGame isn’t unplayable tho. For some probably but everyone definitely not unplayable. Have tons of friends who still play and barely have any issues
ID: h07tps5It's still shit dude. The standards are so low that we can casually sit here and just be like "yeah the games heading towards 3 months and has had more downtime than uptime, but not for everyone. MY friends don't have any issues, so that's OK with ME." Shits dumb dude.
I don't play the game anymore since my character wiped, all my enthusiasm went out the window after how long it took them to get that fixed. I don't lose sleep over the game I'm just still on the sub to read up and see what's happening, maybe they'll have a miracle.
ID: h07zq6xUnplayable by my reckoning. Deleted before finishing the campaign. The controls and shooting on controller are flat out unacceptable for a game in 2021. This game feels like something from 2005 they just draped in modern graphics. Inexcusably cheap feeling for a full-priced, AAA title in 2021.
ID: h085oq1I'm with you bud. I haven't once had a login issue through 3 complete playthroughs. If I kept having those then maybe my opinion would change.
As for the endgame, it's just that. The game has ended. It might not be quite as enjoyable but this isn't a game as a service even though we might want it to be.
-
I have over 60 hours into Biomutant and I am barely halfway through the main story, lol
ID: h07r81sSweet
-
Please don’t compare biomutant to this garbage it’s subsequently better and I don’t mean gameplay wise that’s not a comparison I would make but I can play biomutant if I try to play outriders it might blow up my PlayStation
ID: h083a46Yea been experiencing optimisation issues recently for the first time myself. I intend to get biomutant after the patch all being well.
-
What we need is dedicated servers and fixes to loot system and no more nerfs but buffs. It’s boring having only a couple play styles for each class id love to have extra variety that is viable instead of “Everything must be DPS or de buff”
ID: h083d83Agreed.
-
Bio mutant just came out outriders been out for a hella lot longer. Dont throw biomutant into the hot mess thats outriders. And i been enjoying biomutant haven't seen to many bugs.
-
Biomutant has been out for 6 days...
-
You know what wasnt a disappointment?
Fenyx Rising, easily one of the most fun and underrated games ive played in a long time.
-
This will probably get downvoted but Biomutant is my GOTY so far. It's new, refreshing, beautiful and fun. I've played it for over 20 hours so far and not a single bug has popped up. The only nitpit thing so far has been the narrator, I loved him at first but he gets old after awhile but you can turn him off so its really a non issue. I don't see why it was so heavily criticized. It's not a masterpiece but in a very lackluster year of releases so far it's been my favorite.
-
What's necromunda? This is exactly where I'm at just swap that for division 2, avengers was in there at some point and I just go log into save the world for the feels. I just downloaded Destiny2 as I've never played since it's so far into the game. Looked at rust and ark, rust just looks painful. Ark seems cool single player. Waiting on something that outriders, and biomutant didn't fill.
ID: h071917It’s an FPS in the warhammer universe, just released today, you are a bounty hunter.
ID: h071i4oAhh. I really like the grind of games. Did you finish biomutant? I had captain quest and automaton bug out so I couldn't get 100%
-
Honestly I think lots of games were rushed out door because covid was meaning more customers.
-
Lol why? We still buy the games, we still defend those games.
Didn’t Outriders, Buomutant and Cuberpunk made mad money?
-
Biomutant is a in a great spot.
-
I thought biomutant was great without a patch
-
Yeah there's absolutely no reason the industry should of had any issues over the last year. How dare anyone act like things haven't been business as usual.
-
Look at the amount of people still defending outriders and playing it daily, that’s the problem
-
Biomutant is great. I haven’t had a single issue.
-
I don't think anything will change either.
Gamers want games and now (not all but most gamers are very very impatient).
Publishers and higher ups want more money and as soon as possible.
So all in all, the artists, techs and whoever else get rushed to get the product out.
Game are way way more complex than they used to be as well, online systems, general code base and graphical complexity.
It won't change as it's become widely accepted, it's the wrong stance to take but that's what we have. It's a shame.
-
Biomutant has potential, but there are some pretty big issues.
-
One day people will learn that it's just the way the gaming industry is now, and that literally nothing that comes out is "perfect" any more. The Day 1 patch world is here, and it is what it is. I remember playing games on my NES back in the day (I was a tiny kid, but had it release year cause I'm old), there WAS no patches. Games were finished and pretty much flawless (for the most part). No one is able to achieve that level of quality any more, and I can't stand it.
ID: h07t1wdThese games are so much more complicated. Doesn't excuse this company at all with what's been going on. Comparing games with 30 years in between them isn't a good idea. Just like comparing a game with QoL issues (Biomutant) to a game with game breaking bugs that cause wiped inventories, login issues and this damage bug that has got better but hasn't been fixed. Didnt like 20 people make Biomutant? PCF has built a game they dont understand just like Bioware did with Anthem.
-
The most first world problems thread ever. If you don't like it don't buy the games. Wait for reviews. Otherwise stop crying over the fact that coding these games is getting harder and harder.
-
Fallout 2 needed patch.
Legacy of kain defiance was unplayable without patch.
Half-life had some bugs.
We can continue that list as long as you want. The more complex game in any aspect, the higher chances of bugs to occur. Nothing anybody can do about it
ID: h071mi7Yea, I’m done with excuses, that needs to stop tbh, we are being used as testers for games now, that’s my opinion. I understand games are complex and I accept there may be bugs, but so many devs/publishers take the mick these days.
-
I completely agree and feel your pain. getting ridiculous now !
-
This guy is just depararte for karma points. Shits on games he’s never played.

Exactly this. The industry doesn't have a need to change because it's not being forced. People keep buying their games so why would they do anything different?
