One rum, two dupes. How the anti dupes system works?

The way it works, as I understand it, is that when you get a legendary rarity drop the game rolls it, if it is something you already have, it rolls again. No matter if you have the second roll or not that is what you get. So the dupe protection is pretty minor but technically exists.
ID: hmffyojID: hmg7exuJust for people to realize how this works, the re-roll is it's more favorable to when you have a low/mid number of legendaries.
If you have 44/46 legendary guns, the re-roll gives a second chance, but you still only have a 2/46 chance of getting a gun you don't have.
That's also assuming that drops have the same chance for everything, which doesn't seem to be the case, as certain legendaries seem weighted higher.

I don't know the exacts but I think it doesn't stop you from getting duplicates but reduces the chances of it happening.. I'm not sure if currently equipped items effect the pools or even if items that are currently in your inventory do.. But I can say I have also had back to back dupes. But in my scenario they were items I did not have equiped at the time.

In my experience, most games that say they have an anti dupe system really needs to be more specific on their wording, because there's still a chance you can get a dupe. That's not "anti dupe."

It's not "anti-dupe." It's more "less chance for dupe"
