there's also a more 'legal' (if you will) alternative. kinda shown in the spider-man far from home set with hydro man and the Venice bridge area (76129 Hydro-man attack). in the coffee-maker machine they use these pieces with like similar to hands but they are more flat, longer on the stub part and wider at the clip part. those could be more useful and you'll get to save some minifig hands. but cool idea nonetheless

Update. My daughter is super chuffed with all the upvotes and says thank you (massive smile). She needs to say that she doesn’t make a habit of dismembering mini figures, it’s her little brother that does that and she saw an opportunity. She is now trying to figure out how to get as many likes on Lego Life.
