- You ever wonder...if 1960’s Cap likes to recall Mjolnir just to eff with Thor.
-
I don't think he would unless Thor was getting too full of himself. lol
ID: gq5tec4ID: gq4f0thI think he’d be like Peggy do we have a hammer to hang this picture and then be like oh wait. Then start giggling thinking about how confused Thor got.
ID: gq5nnyt“Sometimes it takes a second”
-
And so then my hammer just flew out of my hands and I was like “oh”, and the fire giant was like “yeahhh,” and then I punched him and he exploded. Good times
ID: gq4f2s8Read that in Thor’s voice.
ID: gq70c7mI read this as a combination of Thor's "Loki disguised as a snake" story and any of Luis's stories.
-
Nah the enchantment wasn't on the hammer yet so Cap couldn't have summoned it.
ID: gq4ohxvI thought when they went back in time for the reality stone it was the events in Thor Darkworld. The enchantment was placed in Thor 1.
ID: gq52hndThe enchantment had nothing to do with recall the hammer. Thor could recall stormbreaker and that didn’t have any enchantment to it. I don’t think it requires an enchantment to recall mjolnir
ID: gq6j0ecI'm pretty sure Thor recalls the hammer in the Jotunheim fight does he not?
ID: gq53d78What enchantment?
-
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how badass this Cap costume is
ID: gq5uyqiUghh only thing that bothers me about rewatching avengers 1. Caps costume was so bad.
But this thunder cap moment was top tier nergasm... None since gimli gets 3 hairs from galadriel
ID: gq6u0d0Honestly kind of surprised they got the scales to work in real life
-
What If...?
-
If both thor and cap called mjolnir, who will mjolnir fly to?
ID: gq5szihWhoever was in greater need
ID: gq60tyo"It"s not possible!"
ID: gq5v299I picture it working like a magnet.
ID: gq7d2m4When in doubt I believe the hammer comes to Thor in the comics.
-
I wonder if Cap lost the ability to summon Mjolnir when he made the choice not to return to his timeline.
-
The Real question: how long would it take for Mjolnir to get to Cap from Asgard? Would it move at sublight speeds? Can it activate the bifrost?
-
Would Cap still be worthy even if he stayed in the 1960's? Wouldn't this selfish act remove his worthiness or something?
ID: gq5pb9iDon't think it's that selfish, I mean he gave everything he had to the people of the world. Helped save half the universe and decided to finally rest, and settle down with someone he loves. Being selfish would imply he's abandoning a responsibility bit the Earth is safe, and has new heroes to defend it.
ID: gq64kuuWe don't know what "worthy" truly means. We can imply it means something about being honorable but that is about it.
And doing something for yourself after saving the universe isn't unhonorable. And we can safely assume that if Cap did try to recall it to him (and it was possible) it would be for an honorable reason.
But, no enchantment on the 1960s hammer (so it would have to be the one he took back through the time vortex thingy) to give Cap the power of thor to control the hammer.
and even if the enchantment was on the hammer, it wasn't a hammer he had ever came into contact with. So the universe wouldn't have known to allow him access to it.
ID: gq5l7ynYes! I feel the same way. Tried explaining it here after seeing Endgame, but got massively downvoted lol. My whole theory was that Cap wasn't 100% worthy until he chose to leave the first time they travelled back knowing Peggy was also in the bunker and he could've stayed with her. I kinda think that if he would've had the chance to go back anytime before Infinity War, he would have taken it, but he risked that chance here for the good of everyone else. However, going back again permanently, even if he deserved it, can still be seen as a selfish act because he did it for himself even though his friends and the world could've used him still.
End rant
-
If he would abuse his power like that would he still be worthy of wielding it?
-
Someone edit that into a photo.
-
Does the hammer choose who is more worthy? Like if Thor is fighting someone and cap calls for it, who gets it?
ID: gq6pfwnYes. The hammer is sentient to an extent.
ID: gq7d6eoIt will always come to Thor first, endgame kind of hinted at that.
-
I don't think cap is worthy anymore
-
this needs to be an episode of what if? but chronologically speaking i suppose if he did it in the 60's he would be stealing it from odin wouldnt he?
-
The worthiness enchantment wasnt around untill Thor 1.
-
And that’s before Thor met Cap
-
I feel like that would be a dick move that would deem him "unworthy".
-
Going forward, this should be a shtick they do once in a very few amount of times. They could write notes to each other and stick them to it.
-
Was there a cap in the 60s? I thought they went back to 1970. Let alone the whole enchantment thing wasn't around till 2010-2011
ID: gq5t65mHe went back to the 40s at the end of endgame. Look at the cars.
The writers said it was 1948
-
If he tried he wouldn't be worthy enough to do it.
-
Who is “1960’s cap?” What does the 1960’s have to do with Cap?
-
This moment in the theater is why I miss going to the theater. Maybe the best crowd reaction ever, the entire theater cheered when Cap wielded Mjolnir.
-
In 1960 Captain America was in deep sleep under the ice...
-
Because Thor is a god and thats his weapon. Steve is a super soldier sure, but there's a bit of a difference here. No power of Thor, no summoning Thor's hammer.
-
Going and living his life out with Peggy would have removed his worthiness.

Turns out Thor was never unworthy in his first film. Steve was just under where Mjolnir landed the entire time.
