- Game Director Trying to Regain the Rights to Lost PlayStation Exclusive
-
I remember playing the beta. I couldn't really figure out the point of it but it was interesting none the less.
ID: hbjginxID: hbjnmdlThe Tomorrow Children is a Soviet-inflected multiplayer experience that Cuthbert has compared to the likes of Animal Crossing and Death Stranding
Never played it but with a description like that I'm not surprised.
ID: hblq18xI've checked it out several times (as in videos and images, not playing it) and I still have no idea what the point is. It looks interesting though
ID: hbpbl99Build up a village by collecting resources from Islands that appear in the world.
Use the resources to get access to better gear, build houses, items and services for village residents and weapons to fight off the Kaiju that attack the village.

I think about this game every now and then. It was really unique. Hope he can find a way to re-release it.
ID: hbkjn0fI watched part of the stream where he played it and I just thought “this looks like masochism distilled”.
-
the comunism game, I loved this game, was simple but fun
-
completely forgot this game ever came out.
-
This game was ahead it's time. The lighting system via voxel cone tracing was incredible. Game looked very distinctive. I think a reboot with it being actual synchronous coop with the same survival elements could work exceptionally well on PS5.
Edited for correction about Software RT
ID: hbich1hYou mean a reboot that changes all the ridiculous choices the game had? Yea that would work for sure. Idk why they didn't fix it before shutting it down
ID: hbigdekProbably couldn't due to the PS4 idk. The concept of the was cool imo, but I think the asynchronous nature of coop was a misfire. I think it could do well for a reboot, correct the flaws, and reboot. Could be dope smaller title.
ID: hbicwgaNo the game did not have raytracing.
ID: hbih3bdYea I was mistaken. It wasn't software based RT
It was called voxel cone tracing
But the lighting looked really good

Really wish he could do it and get the game back, it was very unique and ahead of its time in lighting and graphics, Also the co-op element was a one of its kind. I hope we get to play it again soon.
-
They should just give the rights back. It's painfully obvious they are not doing anything with the IP anymore.
-
Dead in the water. Let the corpse rest.
This game died for a reason.
-
What a blast from the past. This is one early PS4 game that I definitely forgot about.
-
the premise had to be "i'm gonna bring communism to minecraft and see if people buy this shit."
i played either the alpha or the beta, not sure which, and it felt like i was being pranked the whole time.
-
I hope he’s successful, Sony killed it off and most likely don’t have an interest in doing anything else with it so I don’t see why they shouldn’t release the rights to him, it’s not like they’d have to pay to maintain it, it would all fall on him.
This game would’ve been better off with a PC release anyways. Something this unique never had a chance on console
ID: hbjpilqNo he won’t be successful. There is a reason why big three almost never sell away their ip even through the ip is dead.

ID: hbj8mxwYou're acting like Sony doesn't support Indies

ID: hbiac0fAnd we found the meme account.. didn’t take long
ID: hbijjy6I just miss Andrew House and his tiny hands.
-
Sony should sell this... "unique" IP back to the developer and use the money on better IP.
-
This was such a fun game i miss it so much

I loved it but had no idea what I was doing. It was so creepy and interesting
