Edit: I meant that they’re remaking it in the spirit of making it as a new game with a new engine. I also would not like them to split the game up into multiple games 5 years apart. BUTTTTT I think they can definitely take a note from the combat system of FF7 Remake which allowed real time and turn based combat

However, it could very well be exclusive. Seems to be pretty far out, so no reason to jump to conclusions at this point, IMO.
Edit: Well, seems to have been confirmed to at least be timed exclusive. Very interesting that the first game in the Old Republic series released on PS5 will be a remake of the original, and also exclusive.
