I ran an r9 280 and an HD 7950 in crossfire a few years back. The performance was actually quite good with very few crossfire issues.

Great deal.

Too bad AMD killed the driver support intentionally although it was GCN

My 7990 can play Dark Souls 3 at 1440p/60/max. Tahiti is awesome

I sold one of these (same gigabyte windforce 3x) last year on ebay via auction for $75. Purchased in 2013 (along with 2 others) and used to mine dogecoin for a little bit and still worked great after all these years.

Can't wait to be able to upgrade from my gtx 960
-
I love gigabyte windforce cards
-
I went from a GTX 1080 to one of these when I went back to university and it was pretty tolerable.

A friend asked me for help buying a gpu back in late 2013 and I recommended him that same gigabyte 280x. The card had artifacting and overheating issues from day one and burned itself 4 years later.
Should have waited a couple months and bought a 970 instead.

should have RMAed it day 2....
ID: hdid4gbSadly he lives overseas and it took a while for the card to get to him. Sending it back, paying for the overseas shipping and then the 3rd shipping back. It wasn't very feasible. Assuming gigabyte would have accepted the rma and the card wouldn't get stolen along the way.

Yep, a little faster than a 1050 ti. Just much higher power draw and older feature set.
