Some people reported Pci bus requesting restarts all over again, hopefully it is fixed in this release. 21.40.0.0 is aparently the faulty version. (but tbh I never had this problem on neither of my device)

Fix the Horizon Zero Dawn issue. Its been over 6 months and still it crashes badly with 6700xt cards. The last driver that work is 21.3.2 After that the game is unplayable.
Also can you add cpu temperature in the monitoring overlay?

Can you assist in sharing some info on how you are crashing on Horizon Zero Dawn? What are the steps to reproduce?
If you have a particular save file that can reproduce it easily at certain locations that will be super clutch too.

ID: hdqc5bwI have report this issue analytical before in amd and here and provide dxiag and other log files.
There is no step to reproduce. Just run the game play for 5-10 minutes and then it will crash with a report to send the log to the developers. It happened in stock settings undevolt settings or OC settings.
Have an 6700xt merc 319 model.There is a thread in steam with many users that have this issue with 6700xt cards. I dont run any reshade or other mod files. I only have edit the exe for have ultrawide in cutscenes but the crashes dont happen in these circumstances.
Also with 21.3.2 driver and before there is no issue at all i can play for hours without a crash.

Radeon Software is still not starting after update or clean installs. Problem since 21.9.1 on RX 580, works fine on older versions
UPDATE: Problem solved.
I checked Windows Logs, there was crash report with reference to file C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32 igdrcl64.dll, after fast Google Search it was related to Intel Display Drivers.
I first activated integrated graphics card in the BIOS, then uninstalled it from within Windows Device Manager. After a reboot an older version of this file was automatically installed. AMD software runs now.

ID: hdq72dcYou're having that problem too? I thought I was the only one. I think Windows is sneakily installing an old driver from July and overriding 21.9.1. So far as I know, I've disabled automatic driver installation through both Windows and DDU, yet it still happens over and over. I've since reverted to 21.8.2 and am waiting it out to see if this is a recurring problem. Figured a WHQL driver wouldn't prompt Windows to do stupid things.

I have a problem since the new Update.
I got a 6900xt before the driver update my Temp was 45-50 in idle modus.
Now my Idle Temp is 60+ .
On Radeaon Adreanalin Software it shows that i constantly run vram on 1900 mhz.
Any body got the same problem that the temp are rising after the update?

There running the memory at full speeds all the time.
They actually sort of resolved it 3-4 releases back but even then I had to run 100hz on my 144hz monitor to get 6-7 wats at idle. My other monitor aslo at 60hz.

That the VRAm /Memory runs at full speed all the time.
I deinstall the newest Driver with DDUS and install thje 21.8.1 Driver. Now it works normaly for me.
Just use an older Driver.
So the Guy above says 21.8.2 works too.
So 21.8.1 and 2 works.
Man kinda sucks then the new driver is shitier than the old one.
ID: hdqjq7sA similar issue happened with my RX 5700XT on older drivers when paired with a high refresh rate monitor. Issue fixed temporarily when I added a custom resolution on my old monitor and it was fixed permanently with my new monitor.

So glad this update came out, Doom eternal kept crashing along with some other games after update no crash thank you

I did not have this issue with the last driver it was showing everything for CPU but i do not get any metrics and Auto OC section is gone.
Driver install caused all my PCI-E devices dropped out including NVME SSD's the OS was installed on. This was a fresh install win10 installed last month with latest drivers, bios and OS updates.
ID: hdrl0d7This is normal and wont hurt any of your drives. For that, i have to jump on AMD side. Wont even cause command time outs. Or "Unsafe shutdowns". I see nada on the smart status of my SSD's. All okay with that.

Had a completely stable system (3700x/6800xt) for months and the last two drivers have seen a crash or driver timeout suddenly while gaming. I saw some people mentioning increased power usage with the new drivers. I did have an OC with 15% power limit on my 6800XT, so I am going to try dialing that back. Anyone else seeing issues on this driver?

I'm actually so happy I got a 30 series card on the way, I love my AMD CPU but I just can't handle playing Russian roulette with these driver updates anymore.

Chaperone for SteamVR still not fixed issue persist for over 2 years across AMD Graphics cards (480, Vega 64, 5700 and now 5800). Steps to reproduce: Launch VR title which mirrors screen in to Windowed mode. Approach chaperone - observe stuttering when chaperone renders
Workaround - disable mirrored screen or have full screen mirrored
Accidentally updated and now relive wont record any audio again after finally getting it to work after 1.5 years of not working. Think I'm just giving up on AMD, 5700xt card has been nothing but issues since getting it 2 years ago.
Happened. You were just not careful. Me neither. Uninstalling 21.8.2, DDU them, Installing 21.9.2 (checked if the RAM runs full speed on livestreams), thought "hmmm ok", deinstalling again, DDU them, Reinstalling 21.8.2...took me only 30 mins. LOL.
This driver still has the awful frame pacing issues that 21.9.1 has in a few games, although it's slightly better now than it was.
When the problem occurs, frametime graphs look horrendous, and GPU utilization constantly bounces between 70-99% like there's a stall in the render pipeline.
Slightly better than 21.9.1, but still needs a lot of work under the hood.
I haven't had frame pacing issues since the black screen issue was fixed for me in 2019...That's strange.
Take a look at my frametime graph in Days Gone, which is one of the worst offenders:
Looks like a cardiograph from someone who smoked beef gravy cigarettes for 42 years.
Not every game is like that, but there are new chugs/stutters in most of them starting with 21.9.1.
Can i play AC origins in this one? Without timeout crash?
I don't recommend updating to these drivers.. I was on one week streak without having a blackscreen, today I installed these drivers and had a blackscreen. Went back to 21.9.1, I hope it was just the drivers and that the rollback fixes them again..
EDIT: Just noticed that my temps are lower in 21.9.1 than in 21.9.2 quite a good bit, +/- 5ºC which is crazy, I don't know what they did to 21.9.2 lmao
Wonder how many times I'll have to report a bug to see it on the known issues list.
I think, that AMD really wants to hurt us sometimes. They know what they do, but they just wanna stress people.

With those "nice" drivers, watching livestreams with any kind of browser makes the RAM run at full 100% mode always. This is not nice at all. It just can not IDLE anymore. With the previous drivers 21.8.2 this does not happen. WHY AMD, just WHY. Why now the lower cards like 5000 series can manage it, whilst the newer and better ones cant do it anymore. Dont come with "OH but we need POWER for 164HZ". The AMD 5000 cards can manage it now. So please, dudes.

That's just the winter time feature aka Radeon Hottm as opposed to Chill, to keep you warm now that the cold starts.
got the same card with a 160hz monitor and mine is idealing as it is supposed. But i remeber looking this issue up and problem is your monitor using nonstandard vblank timings
After paying those $1400 for the 6800 XT they want to take your $20 for the electricity bill.
The Radeon Metrics Overlay increases GPU power consumption and memory clock when it's visible, at least it does at idle.
I am a crypto miner, I have an issues after updated my gpus driver to Adrenalin 21.9.1 from Adrenalin 21.8.1 My gpu is AMD RX580 and RX590 after updated the gpus CLkernal missing or unknow, so I switch back to Adrenalin 21.8.1 Looks like the version 21.9 all have clkernel issues.
If you're using PhoenixMiner you have to change the kernel to the generic one. I haven't used Phoenix in ages but it was something like that.
That's right I am using phoenixminer. I try generic kernel by adding -clkernel 0 parameterto the bat file, the result is lots of stall and rejected hashrate over 30% and when I switched back to Adrenalin 21.8.1 everything back to normal, but I have to use AMD clean-up utility to remove the Adrenalin version 21.9.1 and reinstall the 21.8.1
Zero fan rpm is disabled by default anymore ?
I do want to say that with the last update enabling SAM I have no issues streaming while I play FFXIV or any issues in FFXIV at all for that matter. This is on a 5700

After few days, a bug appears when I cannot create another custom resolution. It gives a screen with "The custom resolution settings are not compatible with this display. Reconfigure your settings and try again."
Trying any resolution, CVT and same message over and over again. The bug is very old, at least 2 years. Why cannot AMD fix this issue? Have Vega 56 and 21.9.1 drivers.
I've started using SAM as of two days ago and I've noticed if I'm not in a fullscreen game the FPS variation is incredibly high from around 40fps to 120 in some games, has anyone else experienced this, is this a normal thing for this feature, do applications need to be ran in fullscreen?
I have a 3070, its crap and when I see the 6900xt at such low prices (in comparison to nvidia, in argentina a 3070 is priced equally to a top model 6900xt) and think on switching, I get the vietnam flashbacks of having the 5600xt and all of its driver issues... then I read these posts and have the same expression. Why does amd never fix the driver problems, since the 5000s its a non stop.

I realized 21.9.1 introduced black screening to my system (confirmed by swapping between it and 21.8.1 drivers). It's pretty easy to replicate by toggling GPU scaling on and off when blugged into an LG CX tv. Happens with my monitor (LG 34GN850) as well but less consistently.
Well CPU tuning is still not present and preformance in apex legends has taken a massive dump. instead of getting like 130-140fps while dropping this driver drops the fps down to like 100-110 region
Graphics score went up a bit in 3dmark. Not sure how that equates to real world performance but always nice to see.
Currently been having issues with ffxiv and my 5700xt (ie:Crashing my system) will this fix it? I doubt it's my card since it's relatively new and it doesn't crash on any other game
Bro at least you can watch livestreams with no RAM running on full speed. ;=) Your card can IDLE at least with those "drivers".
Sure enjoy it until it bsods my computer
