I really hope this game succeeds.
We desperately need more like it.
The last SSX came out in 2012. It's going to be 10 years. It was a fantastic last entry but nobody bought it. I fucking swear I better not hear anyone else whining how they want SSX Tricky again if they didnt bother buying and supporting the other few SSX games that released after, that were equally good.
ID: hgejfouID: hgekmn7Yes 3 was amazing, but it didnt sell as well as Tricky. And On Tour (4) was a perfect continuation to the gameplay of 3 with a ton of quality of life improvements.

I’m assuming most of these comments will be some variation of “Ubisoft bad, copy paste open word”
ID: hgdku41Yup. Meanwhile of course they are. These guys are the only ones out here pumping multiple AAA experiences out each year. No shit they cut corners. And considering most of their games are 7/10s or more. I think Ubisoft gets shit on alot more than they deserve.
ID: hgel7nuin last 3 years i think ac valhalla was the only game i did not really like
ID: hgdvc95Obligatory whining about needing to ride to the top of a mountain in order to unlock the map in that area lol
ID: hgdp5jjI mean… I’ve played it and it is? Why should I say anything different besides what I feel? Am I not entitled to that opinion… especially when it’s pretty much true?
ID: hgdt65vWhat’s generic about it ? Why is it soulless ?
ID: hgdjg6lbet!
ID: hgdjr1bLiterally the comment bellow this is exactly that.
I'm excited for it.
ID: hgdunzaIf you don't like copying and pasting, you're really not going to like Ubisoft games.

I’m thinking of checking this out. I was a huge fan of SSX Tricky and SSX 3 and this looks like it has the same kind of cartoony energy. Other boarding games I’ve seen have looked too realistic.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
ID: hge83heNope this is literally the closest thing out there. Even Steep didnt have as much fun factor as SSX did.
If EA ports SSX 2012 I highly suggest that, unless you have a PC or old system then play it asap, it is amazing and under appreciated.
ID: hgeijdwSSX 2012 (fuck I feel old) lacks the fun energy too though. I remember being so disappointed in it.
ID: hgeawkiThis is kind of a follow-up/spiritual successor to Steep.
If RR looks fun for you I would check out Steep, worth it on sale if you like boarding games. It has snowboarding, skiing, and wingsuiting

The gameplay trailers look much better than this. I've been hyped for this but I was actually hoping there wasn't any story at all! Just free roam, multiplayer and some competitions.
-
Looks fun!
-
If I could afford it, I would buy this day one. The beta had me pumped.
-
The demo was pretty fun but not at full price
-
Looks pretty sick! Hopefully their BMX season will be out soon...
-
Preordered ultimate edition after playing around in a beta. Even if it's bad, at least it's fun. I'm hoping it compares with the fun of Trials Rising, that game is all my girlfriend will ever play.
-
Yo dawg! We heard you like check points!
Seriously, though. Looks like it could be a lot of fun online
-
I thought about downloading the beta, but decided to wait until it was released free-to-play. Couldn't believe my eyes when it was listed for something like £35. Has struggling written all over it imo.
-
I had so much fun with the beta. The only gripe I had was there wasn’t a lot to do, but again that was mostly just the beta limiting races and what not.
Definitely looking forward to picking this up, especially if the reviews are solid. Probably the best beta I’ve played this year.
-
I was a huge fan of Downhill Domination when I was a kid and this seems to scratch that itch.
-
So unfortunate that this is a soulless check off all the boxes Ubisoft game. The game is generic and too easy. It’s just not… fun.
Edit: Downvote me if you’d like, but I’m not wrong for having an opinion and posting it.
Why:
It has dated looking graphics, a pretty corporate soundtrack, the game tries so hard to be alt and quirky with its characters and “story”. The gameplay feels like they just adopted some existing engine and physics and slapped it on some art elements. It’s far too easy to beat events and it feels disjointed from any type of competition.
ID: hgdvr8yYou are entitled to your opinion but it’s overly negative and it’s pre judging a game that isn’t even out yet. That’s probably why you’re getting downvotes
ID: hgdwfhpI’ll take the downvotes I guess. It’s a bad game. I don’t enjoy it. They made such little changes from different beta states. It’s not going to get better.
ID: hgdkhjoIs it even out yet
ID: hgdm2s0there was a beta week not so long ago. It's basically Steep mixed with The Crew. Game comes out October 28.
ID: hgdoxbiNo. I’ve played every beta from internal test until now hoping it would get better. It hasn’t. It’s not good.
ID: hgdsq6hposts regurgitated ubi bad opinion bitches about downvotesCry more. Please.
ID: hgdx42kI’m fully accepting the downvotes. Please go ahead. It’s just stupid that opinions for or against this game are downvoted when this should be the subject of discussion.

It wasn't equally as good though. SSX 2 and 3 are amongst the greatest sports games of all time.
I did enjoy the 2012 version but it was completely missing that goofy charm the earlier games had. I think most people also preferred the more curated race track design rather than just going from point to point on a open mountain.
