Is anyone else's vibration functions not working? The triggers get stiff but don't move when firing weapons, and I remember them moving during the beta, but the controller vibration is straight up not working at all.

ID: hjla1ke

WOAH!! I thought l was the only one lol Yes my Dualsense ain’t working ether wtf? Glitch?

ID: hjlabry

Has to be. Weird thing is though, my brother has the game on his PS5 and the vibration works perfectly, so I don't know what's going on, but it's bothering me playing without vibration.

It's a COD. I'd say it's even a particularly good COD. It is a kind of odd series to review/recommend for me. It's good this year, nothing revolutionary, but good. Zombies seems a bit rushed out though.

If you haven't played a COD the last decade, don't get too hung up on the negativety among the "hardcore gaming community". They do come of as pretty lazy yearly revisions of the same game over and over again. On the other hand, and I'll die on this hill, Call Of Duty is just the straight up best FPS games to play on console/controller. Possibly tied with Halo, but on the PS5, this is the best one avaliable.

Bought this game on a whim yesterday, it’s my first CoD since 4 on the 360 (and before that I’ve only played 3 on Wii). Coming in that blind, this game is amazing. I’m pretty bad at the multiplayer, though I did manage to get voted MVP on my team a couple of times.

I’m just surprised that in 2021 I’m excited to be playing CoD, a series that I had honestly written off for being the same thing every year. Maybe I should just jump in every 5-10 years.

5 : Anonymous2021/11/08 11:27 ID: hjsiy2r

Adaptive trigger doesn’t feel right…

6 : Anonymous2021/11/09 17:36 ID: hjyk998

The lack of dual sense features is a huge letdown. I’ve gotten so used to them from ps5 games this feels super outdated as a result.

7 : Anonymous2021/11/05 10:03 ID: hjeauik

Multiplayer is so much fun, I love that they implemented 3 different "game speeds" for a lack of a better word. Honestly havent had as much fun in COD in a while playing domination and headquarters

ID: hjepy7b

Can you explain that game speed comment? Still on the fence.

ID: hjet6r4

There are different amounts of players in each mode. More players = faster gameplay, ie more kills/deaths. Less players means slower gameplay and more searching out kills. You can choose which style you want to play by changing the "combat pacing". Tactical, Assault, or Blitz.

8 : Anonymous2021/11/05 06:28 ID: hjdwboq

Multiplayer is way way way better than the beta. Don’t know exactly what they did but the gameplay feels way smoother and aiming/firing seems way better. 20 maps on launch is great and I was surprised to see WaW maps come back. I hear zombies sucks dog shit so that’s a shame but whatever

ID: hjgb2k2

hell yes

didnt like the beta but im hooked to cod so got it. was supposed to come today through target, maybe tomorrow it shall

9 : Anonymous2021/11/07 19:01 ID: hjphxh0

This is the most fun I’ve had in a Call of Duty on launch. It’s not perfect, but I can’t deny that the moment to moment gameplay is just really tight and fun as hell. It also has some of the best maps I’ve seen in a recent CoD game with only one or two that I don’t really like (Subpens and Redstar).

ID: hjqan6d

I agree, it feels CoD but it feels a bit ... different, in a very positive way

Also the ability to choose 3 ways of playing a map to adjust the chaos and aggressivity/strategic is genius

ID: hjvfrr7

Exactly right it’s actually “positive” cause people are having fun and not trapped in a self loathing online grind.

10 : Anonymous2021/11/06 02:50 ID: hji5e7w

Overall pretty but solid but holy hell what the hell were they thinking with Zombies?

11 : Anonymous2021/11/06 20:12 ID: hjla6zf

Anybody else having Dualsense problems? The triggers and haptic feedback are not working.

12 : Anonymous2021/11/05 07:01 ID: hjdynug

How big is the PS5 install size exactly? Seems to be conflicting reports on that.

ID: hjec86v

It’s 57.41 GB for me in the UK. You’ll see various reported sizes due to different language packs being installed depending on region

ID: hjechkd

57gb installed, and additional 24gb reserved if you have texture streaming on.

You know, this night be a controversial opinion, but I wish they skipped the ZOMBIES mode and expanded the campaign.

I mean, we've got World War Z and Back 4 Blood out there. We've got Rainbow 6 Extracting doing soon. There are more of these survival against zombies or monsters games on the way too!

Kind of really don't need this mode.

The campaign is only like 5 hours. Could've made it like 10-12 hours without Zombie.

Does anyone agree?

ID: hjgm5fu

Zombies mode was made by a separate studio

ID: hjgspo3

Yeah, Treyarch. However, they still could've used those resources for a expanded campaign.

ID: hjht5vf

Totally agree. I never play zombies so I guess I'm biased but I love the campaigns. Even 9-10 hours would be nice. Doesn't have to be 15 hours.

ID: hjmrngu

I buy Call of Duty just for Zombies. I'm definitely not the only one.

14 : Anonymous2021/11/07 13:03 ID: hjo2yxd

This thread is making me want to purchase Vanguard but I may hold out for a Black Friday sale.

15 : Anonymous2021/11/05 06:08 ID: hjduwsj

[deleted]

ID: hjhsskg

It really is. This is a lot of fun. So glad they continue to do campaigns.

ID: hjfzk87

I hope SP campaign lasts longer than 3 hours.

ID: hjhk389

It's 5

ID: hjeg58t

That's all I really care about in CoD games.

ID: hjhk5jx

5 hours though so maybe wait for a sale

16 : Anonymous2021/11/06 00:09 ID: hjhkibr

Really torn between this and the GTA remasters.

17 : Anonymous2021/11/08 22:23 ID: hjuzr0l

Does anyone know how to get the voice chat audio of other players to come out of my soundbar instead of from my ps5 controller? Is that possible?

18 : Anonymous2021/11/05 10:11 ID: hjebfv5

How are the dualsense features? Loved having them on when playing Cold War campaign last year

ID: hjf9inf

I had to check to see if they were turned on. They were ... so pretty much non existent so far for me.

ID: hjeq3kb

So far pretty weak honestly but I haven't tried a ton of weapons, maybe like 10 do far.... But they all feel the same to use

ID: hjeq7sb

That’s disappointing. They hyped it up a few weeks ago then they dropped some news on the PS blog

ID: hjerj7x

There’s no trigger haptic feedback with assault rifles or machine guns, where you feel the trigger moving with each bullet. I don’t know if it’s a bug or what.

ID: hjg0ktr

I'm thinking it might be bugged. My controller vibration hasn't worked at all so far. It was fine in the beta too.

19 : Anonymous2021/11/05 21:26 ID: hjgwljf

I’m really enjoying this! The campaign is really solid imo, and Multiplayer is a blast. I loooooove the maps too — tons of good ones.

20 : Anonymous2021/11/05 15:08 ID: hjf95wy

Great to see comments praising multiplayer because online videos make it seem meh. Still not paying 70$ for it and will pick up in Christmas sale maybe when drops to $50 (I gameshare so even then only paying 25$)

21 : Anonymous2021/11/05 23:38 ID: hjhg69u

Played a couple matches before work, had alot of fun. The last call of duty I played was Infinite Warfare I think. Look forward to putting more time into it

22 : Anonymous2021/11/06 18:42 ID: hjkxvoa

Does anyone else feel like the head glitching is out of control this game? I feel like 85% of my deaths were to little head dots I could barely see.

23 : Anonymous2021/11/07 06:29 ID: hjnat0r

What is the difference between vanguard standard and cross-gen edition? If I buy standard then can I play online with my friend who plays on a ps5 and I play on a ps4?

24 : Anonymous2021/11/08 07:02 ID: hjs0kgu

Anyone else getting random flashes on their lower half of the screen during multiplayer?

25 : Anonymous2021/11/05 06:09 ID: hjduzg6

This is honestly the most fun i’ve had playing a multiplayer game in a long time. Blitz mode is really good and feels like SBMM works less there because of higher player count. So much progression and things to grind towards. The maps have a good mix of atmosphere and color. Loving it so far.

26 : Anonymous2021/11/05 06:01 ID: hjducep

I'm having a ton of fun playing patrol!

27 : Anonymous2021/11/05 20:18 ID: hjglssd

Does anybody know how to disable the crosshair in the campaign? I always play CoD on Veteran without crosshair and there seems to be no way to disable HUD elements. Please fix this!

28 : Anonymous2021/11/05 21:29 ID: hjgwynb

I’m enjoying this a lot

Seems like the most complete COD at launch in a decent amount of time and they’re only adding to it
