When did I miss that Rosario Dawson was in the game?

Also is there some sort of upgrades going on? I dont remember being able to jump that far in the first game but I haven't played in a while

They lowered the gravity in this one.

The facial animations certainly did not look great, but the gameplay looked fun as hell, which is mostly what I’m looking for in a game that’s basically parkour + zombies.

That lip sync tho

Havent play the first game but i will buy this. This game looks amazing. The context, graphics, map density, melee combat, the traversal looks great

Can’t help feeling like this is going to get totally passed over in February, but it looks really good.

Why would it?

Horizon, Elden Ring, and Destiny’s new expansion are all dropping that same month. I just feel like those will take a lot of attention away from this.

The first one was dumped in January and became a massive success

It had the benefit of doing something super niche and interesting (blending parkour with zombies), looked to fill the role Dead Island couldn’t, and wasn’t marred by as heavily by delays and a tumultuous development cycle, at least publicly.

Free running, zombies, and open world games are even more ingrained in gaming than they were in 2015. I’m not saying it’ll be bad or that I don’t want it to succeed. I’m saying that they picked a bad release date considering what’s coming out around it.

I'll be really excited for this once the 60fps patch drops and I can finally finish playing through the first one (or rather, replaying).

ID: hmzt952

Same I really want to replay the first one with all the DLC, so they better hurry up on the 60FPS patch or I’ll be picking up the second game at a discount after release. First game with all DLC is probably 100+ hours for me.

That said, this is my most anticipated game in a long, long time. The first game was nearly perfect, such an amazing zombie open world game, and even some pretty fun multiplayer pvp.

Yea hopefully 60 FPS patch comes out a decent amount of time before the second game finally released in February. I’m thinking during January maybe (hopefully). Hell raid in 60fps would be glorious !

A beautiful unwavering 4k60fps, fun combat. Yeah this'll work for me in a big time way.

I really dont like all the new traversal capabilities. In the first game, if you wanted to get somewhere, you generally had to wade through zombie-infested streets and use your slightly more grounded parkour skills to get up and around them when necessary and figure out how to get where you need as safely as you can. Now it just seems like you can basically just float and fly to most places, all while you can leap like a superhero and just easily ignore the scant few enemies that might be in the vicinity(though most places seem pretty empty).

I so want this game to be good as I loved the first, but it seriously feels like they have lost so much of what made the first so damn fun.

It was only like that at the very beginning. Once you had some Agility levels, you moved a lot more fluidly and could get around without ever touching the ground if you wanted. Then when you get the Grappling hook you could pretty much fly.

It's possible these are upgrades that will require a lot of leveling up. So the early game might still be a lot closer to the first one.

Even with a 65 inch tv and 60fps I gotta say I really can’t stand first person video games.

ID: hmzu9kb

Weird flex but ok

ID: hmzvd2t

It’s not a flex. There are too many first person games. I specifically bought a bigger tv and a ps5 hoping it would change but it didn’t. It gives me a headache every time.

11 : Anonymous2021/12/02 20:39 ID: hmz7zu3

Did the first one ever get a performance update for ps5?

ID: hmz8w6o

They are working on it

12 : Anonymous2021/12/02 22:40 ID: hmzqtc4

I'm really excited for this one, guys :)))

13 : Anonymous2021/12/02 23:27 ID: hmzxne1

the first person doesn't feel quite right during the cutscenes. anyone else notice the main character didn't have shadows after sitting down next to here? during the actual gameplay, it looks much better

14 : Anonymous2021/12/02 21:38 ID: hmzhhln

Man, what’s up with the lip sync?
