- PS VR2 will work without a camera

What about retrocompatibility? Will we be able to use old games
ID: hrc6nc2ID: hrcqrtxThe “internal camera is the external camera” thing may not work because the internal camera would move as the vr headset moves, and if both of them turn to the same way at the same speed and the same angle, the camera would think the headset didn’t move. At least that’s what I think.
ID: hrejv4gthe dev would have to implement an update, I suspect many dev won't be bother since most vr game is small I die dev
ID: hrcq3djIf Sony have implemented everything efficiently it should be very simple for them to translate the position tracking for use with PSVR1 games. The bigger concern is the controllers; particularly games that use the normal Dualshock light bar tracking. I'm not sure if the headset will be able to track those.
ID: hrcqcvbhonestly i don't care how they do that, just i don't want to pay for next gen version of games i own such as they do for ps4 games... and i don't want to pay for every dlc of beat saber again XD
ID: hrc1k1hI think it will have because in my PS5 I've been using the VR and it works fine with ps4 games.

But still with a wired connection...
ID: hrc1acpyeah that's the only downside to it but at least it's only 1 compared to the old VR
ID: hrc6v51Keeps price down, as long as we don't know what it looks like, we might speculate it'll get a wireless dongle later on.

Yes, we've known about this for a long time. That's the point of inside out tracking.

Sure. Either the software used to control the PSVR2 will just say "hey, UP(internal camera) is still UP(external camera)" and the game will go "sounds cool to me!", Or the dev will have to implement a tiny update.
