Very excited for PSVR2. Addresses every problem of PSVR1 + adds new fractures.
I just hope it’s backwards compatible and as cheap as PSVR1.

I sure hope so too, I got fed-up of the wobbly back and forth tracking with PSVR so never got far in with Astrobot. I'd like to go back to that with a good vr headset.
ID: hrcknpwI dont think it will be. I can see lot of 10 usd remasters tho. It would be cool if Sony could figure out how to emulate old move controlers and light based tracking with external camera on new headset that uses compleatly diferent aproach to user input and headset tracking. It requires lot of work and lot of testing on Sony part. If it supported BC i think Sony would have mentioned it by now. I hope im wrong.

Really hope they can bring half life alyx to PSVR2 as a launch title
I never jumped on the first psvr as I felt the technology needed more time to bake but VR has been becoming increasingly interesting to me as of late.

It's CES, just a general electronics tradeshow. Sony was there to present TVs, boomboxes, surround sound systems, hell, they even gave a new presentation about their efforts to potentially launch an electric car!
Playstation is only mentioned because it's part of the Sony family.

I kinda don’t think it’ll be scalped as much. It’s a sort of niche product still and only people who already own a PS5 would be interested in buying it so it’s a much narrower market than a GPU or an actual console.
I guess it just depends on how many they can produce before launch, though.
They scalped Xbox minifridges. Nothing is off the table dude.
Haptic feedback + VR is for sure the best way to experience VR

Jim Ryan is a corporate prick. Fuck this VR2. How about you start talking about your loyal customers and how they’ve been robbed of the opportunity to get a PS5 because of scalpers. Why don’t you announce some tangible games instead of sharing concepts. Why don’t you talk about your bland arse UI for the PS5 and how you are gonna improve it? How are you going to compete with Xbox Game Pass? Lots of questions waiting to be answered Jim Ryan.

Same. I understand people's complaints but even with the PS4 I literally just kept it the way it was out of the box and just loaded up games.
Just because it’s not the screen with most use time, doesn’t mean it should be shit.
I’m not that annoyed with it with as much hatred as some people seem to have about it, but I definitely feel it’s not as good as it could be and there are points they should improve on. Both the PS4 and even PS3’s ui felt better to me.
How are you going to compete with Xbox Game Pass?
Scalpers buying them is just as good to them though , as they still get the money and that console will still end up in one of the "loyal customers " hands.

What absolutely blows my mind is the potential of VR.
I put a PSVR off for a couple of years because it felt like a gimmick.
I then bought one on a whim because I was looking for something fun it ended up being way more immersive than I thought.
I downloaded the Spider-Man Far From Home VR game. Even though it was clearly a gimmick and janky swinging through the city was fucking surreal.
I then proceeded to buy Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. That game truly opened up my eyes to what VR could be. Like if they could accomplish that on the older Hardware I can only imagine what lies in store for Playstation 1st Party VR Exclusives.
I almost bought the Quest 2 due to the fun but decided to hold off for PSVR2.
Super excited.
