Load capacity of vehicles

Sorry noob here, I've noticed I can't appear to find on the screen where it tells you how much you can load to a bike or a truck.

Currently when I'm road building and lost cargo holding I have to load it case by case until it tells me my cargo carryingcapacity is full and things will be offloaded. Have I missed something?

It'd be nice if I could just select a dozen lost cargo things from an outpost with varying weights and still know I could add some claimed materials to add towards a road on the way.

Look at the two stacks of light bars on the back of the truck. When they are all lit, the truck is full..

Oooh! well spotted! I'll look next time I load one up! Ty!

On a truck, at the back there is some lights that tells you how much you can carry, since there's 10 lights, 1 means 10% full, and 5 lights is 50% full.

I hope this helps, good luck building those roads (this is painful enjoyable)

It's all I do! still on Ch.3! I love road building! Haha! Thanks for the good info!

Btw, you should probably wait to be in chapter 8, there you will be free and with the deliveries, people will have more materials to build roads, I suggest you keep going on foot or in vehicles but not rebuilding roads now. Although, this is your decision

I had built the mountain knot city to distro center road and at some point the game hiccuped and a section disappeared. I might have said something unkind.

Vehicle capacity is entirely dependent on volume, as others have said you can see the lights on the back of the truck. I believe the truck holds a total of 28 XL containers, plus another in the cab (if you zoom in with photomode or somesuch, you can see that Sam puts his backpack stuff on the passenger seat).

Ah ok, so 28XL could be 56M or whatever math is involved to work out volume of containers? The same way I wonder why those floating chiral powered trailers/sleds seem to hold around 6x320 materials but no real indicators of how or why...frustrating...

yup yup. 1XL = 1.5L = 3M = 6S. Floating carriers hold 6XL but have a weight limit too.

I don’t think it’s weight it’s volume you have to worry about. I could be wrong though.

If your at a distro center park on the circular elevator and it will be loadable from the terminal. Cant remember if it tells you a total or not. But you could load up as much as you need and then load on some junk until you max it out then remove the junk and keep that total in mind. Hope this helps.

Iirc bridges trucks hold 2700kg, I you somehow manage to reach the load limit before the volume limit
