yeah its not great, he didnt give a shit about the game out the gate. there is a bit in that video where he is giving a summary of his reaction to the opening of the game and he just took the whole game as a joke when he was only minutes in. i dont get it.

He clearly just doesn't enjoy the game, that's ok, not everyone has to enjoy the things we do. I remember articles saying stuff like "this is just fetch quests". Bit of an oversimplification!
It is a difficult game to sum up and I think it probably suffered from journalists having to churn through so many games in a short amount of time.

....Soooooooo is anyone surprised that the dude, who reviews shooting games, wasn't a fan of the game that wasn't aimed at.....shooting? Like the dude is very much into fast-pace stuff.
Death Stranding is basically the opposite of fast-pace and is designed to be more about the slower-pace.

People who complain about the weight balance and falling over didn't realize that, once you auto-sort, you can just hold both triggers and not worry about balance 80%+ of the time.

I do like The Act Man sometimes, but this is just another one of those dime a dozen videos where the personality simply didn't actually give the game a go. Booted it up, complained about it, then left.
In 5-10 years, when people reflect on the pandemic, and this time period, it'll be remembered similarly to MGS2. Still not universally loved, but the average person who engages in these conversations will see the unique value the game offers.

He’s more into FPS type stuff & a few other things. I actually enjoy his channel quite a bit, but ya this game was just not for him, & nothing wrong with that.

It’s the classic ”wanting to get from point A to point B as fast as possible because you can’t bother with the mechanics and then get angry when you’re punished for mindlessely running across the map with 2% stamina left”.

There's no way he did that intro before he made up his mind, so he must have decided that it was still worth all the (low) effort that went into that gag.
