Requirement :
2 different wifi with internet access, 1 wifi with automatic DNS settings configured on your PS5, another wifi with Al-Azif DNS configured on your PS5 (set up these 2 wifi configuration on your PS5), let's just called it Wifi A (with Al-Azif DNS configured) and Wifi B for normal Wifi with automatic configuration, if you got a wifi router with both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wifi at the same time, just set up 2.4 Ghz wifi on your PS5 with Al-Azif DNS and 5Ghz wifi on your PS5 with automatic DNS
Add Wifi access to PS5 home shortcut (press PS button and then press the customize button, add the wifi shortcut button to the group)
1)Firstly, connect to Wifi A
2)Restart your PS5
3)You may noticed that in your game library, instead of Installed tab, there should be another extra 2 tab, your library tab and your PS plus tab, you can view your library tab but you cannot view your ps plus tab due to Al-Azif DNS
4)Select any game that you wish to download, go to their game page which also shows Download button
5)Instead of pressing Download button and receiving error because Al-Azif blocking Sony's server, press the PS button on your controller, navigate to the wifi shortcut button and then go to internet settings
6)Switch to your Wifi B and let it complete the connection. You may noticed a notification showing
"You need to update your system software to connect bla3"
7)Just press back button on your controller slowly, 1 by 1, until it take you back to the game page with the Download button
8)Press download button, the game will now download and you can even see the download progress in the download list
9) If you want to repeat with other games, you need to repeat with step 1

ID: hxcx7zmID: hxd2e3jI just tested this myself, and it will only update your disc game if your system firmware supports the latest version. I'm on 4.03 and I had returnal on disc which I hadn't updated to version 2.0 and when I started the disc while connected to the internet, it downloaded the latest patch which supports 4.03. I then tested it with a disc copy of ghost of tushima directors cut which also hadn't been updated in a while and it did not download any patch because the latest patch available is only usable on 4.50. Edit to clarify: This is just for PS5 games. So far, all the PS4 games I've tested so far have worked using this method, thank you!

This is great. Just ordered a PS5 and fingers crossed its on 4.03 or below.

because no console lower than latest firmware can be used to log in Sony Playstation account

If my library don't have any games and I didn't login psn before, can I use this trick to buy digital games and download them?
Since psn can't be accessed on 4.03 I reckon it's not doable

Purchased HFW PS4 on ps app and tried this. I wasn't able to find it on my game library.

if you have disc based game, you can always update anytime as long as your console connected to the internet
if you are downloading games from your game library, it will always download latest version
