I’m just wondering what your experiences were with repairs/replacements. Was your issue fixed? Or did they just send you a replacement? If so, how long did it take? Any answer is appreciated 🙂 wondering if anyone has had issues like this recently. I sent mine in around 10 days ago. It’s been a week since they received it and there’s still no update.

Sent it to be fixed after having some issues with last gen games and hdr (January 27). It was fixed in a week and sent back. The package was lost by fedex and they sent me an email (March 5) saying fedex denied the claim that it was lost.

Mine had a GPU issue right out of the box, looked like fireworks colors everywhere. Sent it in and got it back with a week so was white pleased all things considered. In December I had a controller issue, the left trigger was broken. This repair too much longer, nearly a month. I actually bought a new controller while waiting. Still though, with a new console release and a pandemic going on they did pretty good.

slow but they replaced ps5 and dualsense with seemingly new ones
ID: gqgmhicyour controller didn’t work either? yikes

Dualsense was experiencing stick drift and a loose R2 trigger. Contacted support, sent controller in on Feb. 24th, just got it back yesterday.
Seems they just sent a whole new controller.
Seems some people get their replacements back faster, but some won't. Customer support said estimated turnaround time is 10-15 days.
ID: gqh9uufMines has a loose r2 trigger too, heard something snap and now it’s a bit wobbly, need to contact them soon
ID: gqgpe7rInteresting. Did yours ship to IN?

I called support and they wouldn’t move further along the troubleshooting process until I plugged my console into an HDMI 2.1 compatible tv. I just ended up returning it to Best Buy.
-
Mine had a broken HDMI port, they sent a whole new one in less than a week.

All of ours are working perfectly so can't comment about repairs.
But at any time something could happen and we'd have to send them in, so topic is appreciated.

Long story short: - i got bad coil whine - 1st time I got my console back 1 week after sending - completely scratched and otherwise unprocessed - complained and after 2 weeks I got to send it in again - After 1 week after sending I received a (seemingly) brand new one with exactly the same damn noise level and no compensation whatsoever for my time
Pretty much the worst customer experience for me this far. Still kinda happy - damn, I love this console anyway.
If it is not necessary I would not recommend dealing with them (in Europe).
ID: gqhp8emI heard some bad stories about customer service in Europe :/ sorry u had to deal with that

I got sent a replacement for a lemon console. Within an hour or two of being notified that they received my console I got another email saying my console was being shipped back (serial number was different). Shipping there and back took about 4 days each.
Edit: Add another 3 or 4 days for them to ship the box to me to put the broken console in.

I had the green screen / audio buzzing issue. My games would freeze and shut down the system every couple of hours. Spider-Man, Miles Morales, God of War, Cyberpunk.
I got a repair case number and a shipping box last week. Shipped the system back to PlayStation on Monday, and they just sent me a message that they're sending it back today. I'm presuming that it's just a straight replacement given that the turnaround has been less than 48 hours.
Also, I'm in Canada.
ID: gqhazmyDamn, that’s fast. I haven’t had an update in 7 days since they first received the box at the repair center. Glad you’re getting yours back tho
ID: gqh9ekyI get the audio buzzing issues on miles but no other games. Should I send it in?
-
Took it to the repair center myself, got a brand new PS5 15 minutes later
ID: gqhih3aDamn I live halfway across the country from the repair center lol

Over here in the UK, my controllers R2 became loose so I decided to call up Sony which took me 3 hours before I was transferred to a person.
They told me to send the controller in so I packed it up and shipped it. It took around 5 days for it to arrive at the centre.
Then I waited 3 weeks until I got an email saying it’s been dispatched and will arrive the next day. It arrived and it looked like it was a different controller. No serial number at the back and looked brand new so I’m assuming either the white casing was also replaced or it is a new unit specially from the repair centre.

Friend had a power issue where you couldn’t turn on/off via controller or console, had to be unplugged. PS5 was gone and back a week later, got a new one. I’d say pretty smooth.
ID: gqhpc6rI had the exact same problem. I sent mine over a week ago though and there’s no shipping info. I hope it comes soon 🙁

Sent my ps5 back january 6th, recivied the the same console 2 weeks later, they didnt fix the loud coil wine. Decided to keep it incase it got better but i sent it back to repair yesterday cause it was getting unbearable to play games.
