Games that showed off the dual sense.

Just got my ps5 and I'm wondering, besides astro playroom, what other games do you recommend buying that would give me the perfect haptic experience?

2 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:19 ID: grmz08j

WRC 9 is great with the controller.

ID: grna189

This and astro. Astro has the most inventive use of the duel sense, wrc9 has the best real life not demo usage. Wrc9 is very very immersive with gravel and road feel on the triggers, recommended!

ID: grnhvct

I have played pretty much all games that have haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and WRC 9 wins every category. It feels so fluid and perfect and immersive. You can FEEL the gearshifts, FEEL the ground and every rock hitting the car.

Control isn't bad, the Triggers are resistive when using your weapons and the haptics even vibrate to your footsteps subtly, it's done quite well.

ID: grng9gs

I’m part way through control myself and I totally agree. It’s a light touch but a very effective use. Way better than how it felt with standard rumble on PS4

ID: grnhvao

That dart mode or whatever it is called (the one that had to charge up) is nice. I only wish that the telepathic pulls would be directional

4 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:17 ID: grmyqfo

Control and borderlands

ID: grn0411

Borderlands sucks because I like to use Revolvers and the triggers are so uncomfortable

ID: grn199c

You can disable the trigger function.

I love feeling each gun uniquely

ID: grn8p0s

I skipped last month PS+ because I didn't realize Control got PS5 update. I'm dumb.

ID: grnee8i

Always redeem my friend. Always.

5 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:24 ID: grn7rne

Massively impressed with Cold War. Spent a while playing through Ghost of Tsushima and some other PS4 games and playing Cold War after was great.

6 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:01 ID: grmwim4

Try Cold War, blown away by it with the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback

ID: grnc0rc

I want to play this but I feel $70 is too much for a COD game, especially since I don’t play online

ID: grnczwv

The game is on sale for $55. Not too much off but still

ID: grnbwso

Agreed. For me, the haptics and adaptive triggers feel the most "next gen" to me. I love the feeling of "pulling the triggers" on the weapons in the game. For a game like COD, it really does add a little bit more to the gameplay.

ID: grnhcft

Do you feel that people not using adaptive have an advantage over people who do? Less resistance on button pressing for faster reactions?

ID: grnjf53

I was thinking about this today.

While being a very cool feature one could only imagine that requiring more effort on a trigger pull would slow you down a bit.

ID: grnfrij

Can't wait for the VR controllers. Feeling the actual gun recoil in my hands in VR will be something else.

7 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:12 ID: grn67ee

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

8 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:11 ID: grmxxx5

Avengers, dmc5 special edition and destruction all stars

ID: grn5kr2

Avengers needs to dial it back a bit IMHO - especially with Kate / Hawkeye use of their bows.

ID: grn9umy

Ideally yes but it beats assassins creed,s weak triggers

9 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:49 ID: grnar84

Maybe not the best showcase for the dualsense as a whole, but if you’re going to play Hitman 3 it definitely benefits from the dualsense, particularly sniper rifles. If you do a half pull of R2 to the resistance point it will slow down time and focus your aim, then when you pull it past the point of resistance it will click and fire the sniper. It’s super awesome!

10 : Anonymous2021/03/21 00:08 ID: grncwnp

Anyone have luck getting their controllers replaced by Sony? I own 4 controllers and 3 of them have lost the ability to click R2.

11 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:31 ID: grn0nui

Feeling the gun recoil in Cold War is pretty cool.

12 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:56 ID: grn3y80

Sackboy does a lot of cool shit

13 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:06 ID: grn5es0
Astro Avengers Control Demon's Souls
ID: grn8rl7

Demons souls how?

ID: grn97cx

It definitely has haptics but no adaptive triggers

ID: grnbkw3

You can feel the adaptive triggers when drawing back a bow but it feels pretty lackluster when compared to Cold War and Astro.

ID: grnc3x3

The haptics are actually pretty cool. You can feel enemies coming off screen and the one that stuck out to me was Eds hammer when going down the elevators

14 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:12 ID: grmy2py

Control UE does a good job. Destruction AllStars has somewhat good (still there on PS+). Bugsnax had it somewhat good.

15 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:54 ID: grnbcv2

Demons Souls also uses haptic. Not as often as i would hope tho, but when it does its great

16 : Anonymous2021/03/21 00:27 ID: grnf0wn

If you're into basketball or sports games at all, NBA2K21 uses haptic and the triggers. Boxing out, running through a screen or bodying up your matchup all have trigger responses. Or if a player is tired the trigger resistance kicks in as well. In fact, 2k uses it so much that I had to disable the triggers the other day because my hands got tired haha

17 : Anonymous2021/03/21 00:37 ID: grng5r9

Black ops Cold War as much as I wouldn't recommend it but it definitely did and I believe Modern Warfare im not entirely sure though

18 : Anonymous2021/03/21 00:59 ID: grnigb7

I mean Astro is about as close to a perfect experience as you'll get right now since the point of the game is literally to show off the controller. Sackboy and Control have some good integration though.

ID: grnipgg

Nice... I have control already. Picked it up when it was free on ps plus.

ID: grniwp6

Me too, which is great since I never finished it on PS4 or bought the DLC.

19 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:01 ID: grmwi5z

Not so sure about haptics, but Fortnite actually does a sweet job with the adaptive triggers (bows, guns, etc.).

ID: grmx141

Sorry I was to include both... Just want a perfect dual sense experience. Haptics and triggers

20 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:20 ID: grmz4i0

Demons Souls

21 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:01 ID: grmwgno

Definitely Spiderman Ultimate Edition, and maybe Bugsnax or Fortnite

ID: grn418q

Spider-Man barely uses it, most of the games that use it super well are the shooters and Bugsnax

22 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:03 ID: grmwtg6

Sackboy does a bit, Control UE does a bit

23 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:30 ID: grn8lse

Rainbow six siege

24 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:35 ID: grn98lb

Avengers is my favorite right now besides Astro. Godfall does it alright but could be better.

25 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:45 ID: grnadh6

Try Marvel averages PS5 version if you like superhero games, they’re so amazing.

26 : Anonymous2021/03/21 00:36 ID: grng266

I've really only played 3 PS5 games so far.

Astros playroom (a must play)

Miles Morales. this game is great. but as for the controller.. it does have haptic feedback, but really only when swinging through the city - and it feels VERY bad, IMO. it's just.. a mushy R2. and it's quite uninteresting.

Demons souls. this game SUPPOSEDLY has full support of the controller. But i've yet to notice much of anything. There's barely use of rumble in this game. it's quite disappointing IMO. considering its the .. best new generation console exclusive. (Still, it's an awesome game - but it does not show off the new controller at all)

ID: grnhjf3

Very helpful

28 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:28 ID: grn0alv

Nah it’s completely a different experience than ds4

29 : Anonymous2021/03/20 22:35 ID: grn18vb

For like 10 minutes, then you get over it and it just feels like regular vibration

30 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:13 ID: grn6c83

I heard the search bar is quite the experience

31 : Anonymous2021/03/20 23:14 ID: grn6hic

I was wondering when "that guy" was going to comment.
