Long story short, when the game released the devs didn’t realize how poor the game was. They stopped working on content to fix the game. Now that the game is in a much more stable spot, they’re resuming work on making content and beginning to slowly and consistently release more endgame content.

I honestly thought the game would be abandoned before Spider-Man came out, but if that's the case they would be open to a false advertising lawsuit as it was the reason people purchased the PS4 version of the game.

I tried to play it but I had an issue that some people might didn't have, I didn't like the combat. it'll sound weird but I've found it similar to WWE games combat wise cause of it being just pushing the same button against soulless robots, also didn't like that after every hit there is like a micro freeze, that completely ruined it for me. never felt that in the Spider-man and Batman arkham games

This game has lost Square so much money. It is not a smart business decision to keep sustaining this game if it doesn't start making more money, which is unlikely as the core gameplay itself just isn't that fun or engaging, regardless of the Avengers IP. I don't see how they could make a No Man's Sky or FFXIV esque recovery without overhauling the entire game, which would obviously cost a lot more money.

I honestly can't believe that SE put out a trailer the other day for this game, that I had basically forgotten, but reminded me:
-How bad the acting/dialogue is in the game.
-How grindy and meaningless the gameplay feels.

The only good thing about the game right now is the character leveling. Once you hit level 50,you don't get new moves to play with and it gets boring af. The loot power bullshit is super bullshit and doesn't even matter at all.
