"Hell, it's about time..."
INTO MY VEINS!!!!!!!!!

Still waiting for RDNA2 APU. I want to play Witcher 3 and RDR2 from my Ultrabook, man.
ID: grj1ekgwitcher3 on my gpd win 3... oh wait, it already does that!

ID: grjgjvoWon't happen (in 1080p+ at least) still we get RAM with a lot more bandwidth. Maybe highspeed DDR5 APUs can reach RX 570-580 performance, but that will be quite low performance in 2023 or when ever high speed DDR5 will release.
ID: grjkuodRx 580 level iGPU would be amazing. I read smth about octa-channel DDR5-8400 having almost as much bandwith as a 2080 , not sure if accurate lol but either wat octa channel sadly isnt feasible
ID: grkt3mlYou know what would be nuts? Infinity cache that they somehow engineered to also be shared L3 cache for the CPU. A gigabyte of that would go a long way in alleviating bandwidth, two please.
ID: grjj0yjDo you mean cloud gaming? There’s no way in hell we’re getting a gaming capable apu anytime soon
ID: grkj94jI have an intel XE laptop and can say, it runs pretty much every older AAA game, I believe the performance level is somewhere around GTX960 and GTX 1030. On 720p, it runs RDR2 on medium at 45-60fps, Witcher 3 1080p lo-medium 60 fps, tomb raider games at all playable fps's, I'm pretty sure the XE equivalent of AMD APU's should have similar performances, if not better with RDNA2. No?

"Now Not available soon from any retailer near you". And yes I realize this is a laptop part but good AMD laptops haven't exactly been easy to find in stock anytime lately either. If I had $10 for every tech product that has launched in the last 2 years that still isn't available at retail, I could buy a 6900xt at the ebay rate and have money leftover.
ID: grix7hfI can see multiple 5800H Ryzen laptops with 3070 available in my store.
ID: grjktpkThis. I can walk into Bestbuy right now and get me an R9 laptop with either a 4k screen or 1440p 144hz
ID: grjc0jvYeah, but most people aren't up for buying chunky gaming laptops. I'd like to get a Ryzen 5000U in a 2-in-1, but those have barely seem the light of an announcement, let alone a store display.
ID: grkg1e5Replying from a G5 15Se (4800H+RX5600M) - You sure about that?
-
Wow. This is nice!

Any chance there’s one more generation of high end Mac’s with these or was 5700M end of the line for Apple?
ID: grjpc8zThat was the end. Apple has a pretty decent home grown gpu tbh, if the M1x etc takes off and arm macs are here to stay I expect them to have some of the best igpus, Intel probably saw the need to compete with Xe as they are about to be worst on all categories or at least not on top anywhere between ryzen and apple competition

Navi22 is not a 6800. Nvidia pulled this with their mobile cards and this is the same thing, just call it a 6700m if you can't put navi21 in a laptop.
ID: grkg41uConsidering the RX5600M is a RX5700 GPU (90w power limited 6GB of ram) you can bet the 6700M is going to be a derivative of the desktop RDNA2 GPUs at a lower power limit.
-
Exactly same thing as nvidia did, using the x70 desktop die for x80 mobile.
But at least Amd brought back the m suffix after Polaris.

AMD Radeon RX 6800M high-end mobile mining card to feature 2x Navi 22 GPU
-
how many fps in triple aaa games
-
Why not Navi 21 at 150W for the 6800M tho? N22 is unlikely to win against 3080 at 150W.
ID: grkykvf150W is "ultra high end" for laptops.
115W is usually the top end of "normal" laptops.

looking forward to it
