If they want to test draw call performance, which is super important, then the 6900XT. Details here:

I'll take "Things we will not be able to buy for 10 years" please.

It’s a pain. We get it. However some of us want to know how these things work and which would be a better buy when we do.

I recently got a 6900xt and while it sucked and I had to spend way too much time on a discord waiting for drops but it finally happened .

People act like complaining on Reddit is gonna make a difference somehow lol

Yeah every damn post mentioning GPUs being bombarded with "hurr durr cant buy" comments is getting a bit old.

Yes it sucks I totally get it, but can we please keep the whining to a minimum, now that it's pretty obvious it won't change a thing?

More on topic, it's an interesting discussion. I think Igor is right, with both the overhead issue, the architectural differences (which lead Ampere to be underutilized in lower resolutions) and SAM, it does seem like the best way to avoid any GPU related bottleneck is the 6900 XT.

complaining on reddit makes ALL the difference

6900xt sucked? Its better at rasterization than a 3090 bro.

Its not that hard to get a card imo

Used PartAlert and got my 3090 in 3 weeks for MSRP

stop it, you just got lucky. Very hard to get cards.

You mean later this year. ETH GPU mining is going bust before too much longer (mid-Summer most likely). What goes boom goes bust - just like in 2017-2018 with the last mining pandemic.

Not really man. There will be a downturn when eip 1559 hits but the switchover to proof of stake won’t happen till next year at the earliest. There will be diminished profits from mining at current prices but if it keeps rising demand for gpus will stay strong till past 2023. There are other projects that people will move on to after.

Hey Carl! I used to frequent anandtech forums back in the day. Haven’t been back there in years.

I doubt that there's going to be a long term stock problem for the 11th gen CPUs, especially given their lukewarm reception from critics.
