Three golf videogames this year?
EA PGA Tour? 2K Tiger Woods? (And Mario Golf!)
Kind of sucks for 2K if they have lost the rights to PGA and The Players Championship etc after one year.

EA used to publish Tiger Woods games. However, it was announced earlier this year that Tiger has signed a deal with 2K.
EA has today announced they will use the PGA Tour branding. This surely means 2K’s new game won’t be called PGA 2K.
(I’m making the reasoned assumption that 2K will use the Tiger Woods name for their title to give the most bang for their buck with the deal)

Nice. I really liked the gameplay and presentation of the Rory Mcllroy game. It was just so barebones in terms of modes and features. Hopefully they have learnt from that.

I'm curious: How is the gameplay of 2K's Golf game compared to the last PGA Rory McIllroy Golf Game by EA? I had some fun playing Rory McIllroy's but didn't pick up PGA 2K. Which of those golf games is expected to be better?
ID: gsp3am4The last one I played was Golf Club 2019 and it was much better than Rory. I have to imagine PGA 2K21 is even better. EA has a lot to prove for me when it comes to their next golf game Rory was such a disappointment.
ID: gsr2t5y2K21 is miles better, I really enjoy it and it is very rewarding when you start climbing the learning curve. Online is also alot of fun, especially the new Divot Derby mode.

Wasn't great but had potential.
I personally thought the Rory McIlroy game was terrible but really enjoyed the first two golf club games

The golf club and PGA 2K21 were/are much better games than the EA Rory McIlroy game.
It's shit if 2K have lost the licence as that game had potential with more golfer licences
Just got the platinum for 2K21 as well and was looking forward to next year's game too ☹️
Hope EA don't fuck this up and don't muck up the new F1 game which I'm looking forward to as well

ID: gspqayrYou could still play it as a team. Maybe you have a team of 6 who play 3 holes each. I don't know how fun that would be but I wouldn't be surprised if they try something like that.

Last time, i oftenly play golf game was tiger woods 2009 psp. Trying the golf club 2019 from ps now, immediately dropped because it's too hard for me especially in putting. Heard that 2K made their own golf game, is it become newbie friendly?

Anyone have recommendations for a good golf game like early tiger ones? I just want to have fun, play some real and fake courses, and tons of eagles. The 2004 era was so good, recent games are just way too hard, and if I wanted to suck at playing golf I'd just play for real.

I’m all for competition, but with that said HB Studios has been killing it for their work on The Golf Club games & now PGA 2k21...EA will have some big shoes to fill to even match the amount of content found within when it comes to course creations, season mode & just the general gameplay fluidity/difficulty options

Oy. I hope they step it up because Rory and PGA2K20 were huge disappointments. Yes they're competing with 2K, but this is EA and 2K we're talking about.

As a great enthusiast I have always bought golf video games but after playing golf in VR for me it is impossible for me to go back to playing with the traditional method, pressing a button no longer gives me satisfaction. Using real-world motions and walking the full-scale golf course is amazing.
