Hello all! I am thinking about upgrading my PC to the Ryzen 7 5800x, I don't know which mboard to get and I was thinking the ASUS Tuf x570-plus/pro to pair with it. I don't know how updating BIOS functions as well, and I have no idea which cooler might fit in my case to work with this powerful CPU either :/
Thank you all for any help!

Just get a noctua nhl-u12s, also the asus tuf x570is great, you might not need to update the bios, but you might have to.
What would you use this computer for
ID: gufpriiID: gufxnfbLol those games use like 1 or 2 threads. Buy a 5600x and use the stock cooler. Games like that are virtually zero load on a CPU.

Enermax, fractal, and cooler master have some good ones too. Also, it has to be compatible with socket am4
ID: gufq8hjI have no idea what you're talking about but hopefully I will understand it all in the future LOL

Also, you basically can't buy a graphics card right now for less than your sole
ID: gufqb4xI alr got the 1080 turbo, I think i'll use it for another like year or so before getting a new-er gpu!
ID: gufqfgbGood idea
ID: gufqi3sAlso, what would be your budget for the new computer, that plays a huge role, and are you in the us

Also, I can make a kiss of my suggestions if you want. I can even make sure all the parts are compatible, you can always ask me, but you can also use the newegg computer thing or pc part picker

Also, how much memory do you have
ID: gufwdu8I got 32gb

Why the 5800x? That's the absolute worst value CPU on the market. Just get a i9 10900F, they're miles cheaper and perform better.
At least in Canada the i9 10900F is going for the same price as a R7 3700x, like AMD is a joke
ID: gufpv7ewhy would they get not just get the 5 5600x, he cant utilize any more than that basically
ID: gufq3ysAgain, the 6 core 5600x goes for $440 here in Canada. A 10 core / 20 thread i9 is $450. Like you'd have to be stupid to even take a second look at AMD lol.
ID: gufpwmnAlso, your biased because you have one
ID: gufpypkThe i7 and i9 11000 series are basically a waste of sand
ID: gufq734I mainly play CSGO/Valorant which are heavily CPU based I believe so I need a powerful cpu like the 5800x for the most part.
ID: gufs485You dont need that good of a cpu, you should get 5 5600x
ID: guful7xI can run valorant on a 4k tv with a 5 5600x

I mainly play valorant/csgo and other FPS games with friends, I am afraid that it might get really heated during my gaming session because I game a lot
