If only the rates weren't the worst of any gacha I've played, otherwise it's a fun game.
ID: guqyan7Yea, i picked it up when they announced a PS5 version and wow its blown me away.
Visuals and gameplay are stunning, story is a bit boring but apparently a lot are into the lore so maybe that's just me and doesnt worsen the gameplay experience.
Also maybe it's because I'm not too far into the game yet but it's very surprising how much of the content you can access for free. All the future updates content is free be it events or new areas or new quests. And the map as it is now is huge and completely explorable for free, and every quest in the game can be done for free.
Additionally, the 4 star characters are extremely viable and strong if built correctly. I'd even go out on a limb and say bennett is the most useful character in the game and hes a 4 star.
But yea the rates are still quite bad as you said. And the characters locked behind it very appealing
ID: gur0nnrYou just have to accept that it takes a few months to pity a character. For example I just pitied Venti but am already half way to saving up primogems for the next banner I want, and I only pay $5 for welkin monthly. Plus the 4 star characters are great like you said anyway
ID: gur02mpNever played another Gacha before but I feel like considering it takes 6 weeks for them to add a new character that the rates aren't that bad. Maybe when you compare them. But then again there has never been such a high quality Gacha game before.
I can't wish on every new 5 star and get it, but I can get quite a lot. I have Hu Tao plus the spear which I had saved for specifically. And now I've been saving and I got 40 pity and 85 fates. So I'm already close to a 100% 5 star again. Not to mention I very rarely do not get the new 5 star in the first pity.
Plus the RNG luck you are able to get of getting something sooner. For example I got Hu Tao C1 like 4 wishes after getting her, that's just insane luck. But you can also get it at 30 wishes or 55 etc. Doesn't always hit at 76 wishes but most of the time it does and 76 doesn't take super long imo.

Sweet. I've been playing this daily since launch and it can't be overstated how big of an upgrade PS4 to PS5 already was but sure I'll take another few seconds off the loading times.
No mention of haptics or adaptive triggers though which is a shame. I was really looking forward to them but maybe in the future.

ID: guqoh8dYeah May would have been the perfect time to release the game too, post MH Rise, no massive releases coming in the spring/summer until Skyward Sword/Miitopia/Golf. By the time they get off their asses to release it I don't know that I'll actually give a shit. Which is sad, it looks fun, but the pokemon remasters are around the corner after that, and if E3 gives us juicy shit, yet another reason to not bother.
I can't stand mobile on screen controller controls before anyone comments that I can play on my phone, and I'm not hooking up a controller to a fucking 2 year old iphone lmao.

I tried it for an hour or so and tried it again recently and am amazed I can’t start again from the beginning. There’s no way to start a new character.

Won’t play on PS4/5 until they add cloud/cross-save with the mobile version. It’s stupid of Sony to still be restrictive on a case-by-case basis in this space.

Your account stays on playstation so you're unable to play with your playstation account save on a PC/Mobile, while PC/Mobile players can play on either using their same account saved game. You can crossplay between PS and PC/Mobile with no restrictions.

ID: gupxtu3Gotcha Game with a Zelda BotW skin on top of it. If you're a fan of Zelda it's worth checking out. Easily 30 to 40 hours of fun gameplay to be had without the need to drop any money.

Should I get into this game? How much do the MTX stop progression/ruin the fun? I'm willing to pay little amounts of money but if everything is behind a paywall then nope
ID: guqf9bcThere is no need to ever pay for anything, people have completed even the most difficult content with nothing but the starter characters.
I'm at AR55 (highest difficulty) and have never spent a dime and the only content that I'm still struggling a little with is the Abyss floor 12. Which is the absolute end of end game and not required at all for progression. With some tweaks to my parties I should have no problem overcoming it soon.

Also not convinced that they’ll ever really finish the vast majority of the map that they hint at.

People get sucked in by making their character the most powerful, but there is no pvp so there really is no put.

Gacha mechanics is where the game takes a turn, it's similar to unboxing player packs in FIFA, for example, and people are mixed about that.
But the "game" itself is completely free, with only endgame content (abyss) needing time invested to get good builds.

The PS4 version played on PS5 already is 4K and has super fast loading times on SSD. It's also a fairly stable 60fps. Why exactly is this needed at all? There didn't seem to be any mention of using the cards or dualsense features either.

I don't think the PS4 was native 4k - could be wrong. Frame rate definitely wasn't steady depending on the area you were in. Enhanced textures and hopefully draw distance as well - it was pretty bad on PS4.

So what do I do if I have it already on my PS5? Do I download it again or download a different version or what? I've been playing for like a week and am in love with this game so getting an upgrade right now is awesome !

Once the PS5 version is live, you would need to download that version.

I think the next update has some resin cost reductions for bosses which are the most expensive currently.
