They had some 5950x in stock earlier this week for a few hours

I've seen enough of it around (at stupid prices) to think they have hopefully nearly sorted out supply (at least in UK/EU)

ID: gulmam3

I've not been able to see what sort of prices they're going for on Scan, but it seems like they're keeping them pretty close to MSRP, if the 5600X and 5800X are anything to go by?

ID: gulmljf

Yeh they were around £795, approx £100 cheaper than at CCL

ID: gultfvq

Scan UK are offering the 5800X at £409 at this time of writing.

ID: gunqjdq

Scan are very often cheaper than anywhere else, they tend to keep it close to MSRP. One of the main reasons I go to them over anywhere else usually.

Helps that their physical shop is only a couple of miles from my house as well!

ID: gumcpcd

I got one, it arrived Monday the cpu is an absolute beast, from 100-120 average on warzone to 200-240 is ridiculous Edit old cpu was a 3700x

ID: gumpby3

3700X isn't that slow - is Warzone just poorly optimized?

ID: gumfu79

What gpu are you pairing it with out of curiosity?

ID: guns80x

Can confim, I have a 3090 and a 3700x and my frames are all over the place.

3700x is a piece of shit with the latest RTX. Can't wait to get a 5900x at MSRP (or close enough).

ID: gup4iq2

If all your doing is gaming you paid over what you needed to.....this thing is meant for creators and video editors etc...no game will use 16 cores or even come close to it, not saying the 5000 series aren't beasts but you'd have noticed the same diff in warzone with a 5900x or even a 5800x 5950x for gaming alone is just a waste of money.

ID: gum9s77

I think as far as AMD CPUs go, things are looking up with regards to the supply status there.

Overall though, we still have a long way to go. However I've noticed even some intel CPUs have gone up in price due to the shortages, such as the 10100 from sub £100 to £120~.

3 : Anonymous2021/04/15 14:58 ID: gum0fea

I thought it was going to be another 3 weeks minimum before the rest of those 90 orders were fullfilled I finally got my 5900x yesterday may of been long wait but came with some extra stuff and fc6, £509( £521 with carriage but was picked and shipped and delivered all in one day). So glad I didn't bend over for the scalpers

ID: gum5b7k

I wasn't expecting mine either, the 200 that came in a few weeks ago was earlier than planned, so that was a nice surprise

ID: gum5l0z

Definitely I mean scan thought it was 20 this week I have screenshot of the expected shippment, checked my emails, then checked the updates on the website to my surprise they got 83, order was picked yesterday then couple hours later order has been shipped

4 : Anonymous2021/04/15 13:05 ID: gulmcg9

Now if only I could get a GPU

ID: gunqg2r

Keep up some part alerts and jump on scan whenever it shows up I got a RRP FE 3080 this morning

5 : Anonymous2021/04/15 14:22 ID: gulvlpl

Scan was the only shop I could find that did not overcharge. Everyone else was asking 100~300 £ more than them.

6 : Anonymous2021/04/15 15:48 ID: gum7e0x

Really sums up how terrible supply is just now. At least scan seem to be sticking to or close to RRP, all the other UK suppliers are scalping and Amazon has straight up cancelled their unfulfilled orders.

ID: gum94v6

I've decided that if I have to buy anything and it's at a reasonable price at Scan they'll get my money, having used CCL/OCUK in the past but seeing what they've been doing makes me not want to use them anymore.

ID: gumfqcj

Definitely, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Scan.

ID: gumlaku

I mean, I got two 5800x from Amazon for £307, and those were orderable for hours.

7 : Anonymous2021/04/15 15:32 ID: gum537u

Break out the champagne glasses!

8 : Anonymous2021/04/15 18:00 ID: gumpkwt

Reading this article with a 2200g and I'm good with it

9 : Anonymous2021/04/15 21:34 ID: gunj4nj

I work in IT distribution in the UK, we didn't ship any Ryzen 9s from December to March. We just couldn't get any from AMD after the initial launch QTYs.

10 : Anonymous2021/04/15 12:51 ID: gulkuo3

*its

11 : Anonymous2021/04/15 17:23 ID: gumkjuc

Hopefully it will get better for 5900x and 5950x. 5600x and 5800x has been readily available for about 2 weeks now for where I live

12 : Anonymous2021/04/15 16:01 ID: gum96oz

Romeo: better late than never.

ID: gup5ial

How 'bout you show some respect, Romeo

ID: gup767h

Just saying Dutch, they missed one.

13 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:35 ID: gunb3r5

Hey OP. I’ve got a pre order for a Powercolor 5700xt. Is this a thing for every product and if so where can I find this?

ID: gunbfia

So far on Scan's website, they've had these pages for the Ryzen 5000 series, Radeon 6000s, nVidia 30 series and PS5 pre-orders, nothing to do with other things I'm afraid, just recent launches

ID: gungzdu

Ok thank you

14 : Anonymous2021/04/15 22:40 ID: gunrdc3

IT'S BEEN 161 DAYS SINCE LAUNCH?!?!?

15 : Anonymous2021/04/15 18:07 ID: gumqkkr

Great, at least CPUs are looking positive.

16 : Anonymous2021/04/15 18:10 ID: gumr2kb

Here's hoping B&H Photo can do the same here soon. Still waiting on my 5900X

17 : Anonymous2021/04/16 01:05 ID: guo89cb

And here I am ordering poor mans CPU I5 11400. Its good enough for gaming for dirt cheap. Wish I didn't need as much renovation of my room, could've spared for 5600x or 5800x maybe 5900x. 🙁

18 : Anonymous2021/04/16 09:33 ID: gupfbjf

Let's see if they actually start selling 5900x at close to MSRP price now. Other UK retailers like Overclockers and CCL are actually scalping it atm.

19 : Anonymous2021/04/15 14:51 ID: gulzi7b

But we are still two months away form Ryzen 9 at MSRP?...

ID: gup5vuy

If it is only two months that is great.

20 : Anonymous2021/04/15 15:01 ID: gum0tdz

Seen some places sending out emails saying they have the 5900x, but they are wanting £800, ridiculous.

21 : Anonymous2021/04/15 18:19 ID: gums8er

*its

22 : Anonymous2021/04/15 15:01 ID: gum0upw

Pathetic

23 : Anonymous2021/04/15 16:26 ID: gumckot

Scalping prices still in effect. Fuck them. Will keep waiting.

24 : Anonymous2021/04/15 16:41 ID: gumepik

How nice. These still essentially do not exist in Canada.

ID: gumpkku

Sounds like an opportunity for your brand-new import/export business!

ID: gumx23b

I just bought a used ryzen 9 3600x for $420CAD. Upgraded from a 5 3600x.

That will hold me over until I can walk into Canadacomputers and buy a 5900, same with GPUs. I’m not playing that game until I see them on the shelves.

25 : Anonymous2021/04/15 17:36 ID: gummb99

Now do video cards!

26 : Anonymous2021/04/15 19:56 ID: gun5mfq

Fack, people are actually getting 5900x's!? I had been trying for months to get one and scooped a 5800x casually through curry's instead. I honestly thought the 5900x was just a rumour or something. Cool, let's hope the gpus follow suit!

27 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:03 ID: gun6od7

If I hadn't gotten lucky with an Amazon drop back in October, I would have only received my 5900x a week or two ago. Crazy how the stock situation varies so much.

29 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:42 ID: gunc1m0

I'm in canada now. and I just got 2 5900Xs both on LTT's video and local memory express.

Local scalpers are already clearing their 5600Xs and 5800Xs at lower than MSRP+tax.

30 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:51 ID: gundcb1

Really waiting for a new APU.

31 : Anonymous2021/04/15 21:28 ID: guniab3

The EU seems not too bad on the CPU front from what I have seen. GPUs are still like diamonds rn though hahahah

32 : Anonymous2021/04/15 21:54 ID: gunlnxy

Bought my 5800x yesterday and it came in the mail today

33 : Anonymous2021/04/16 04:18 ID: guot3w2

I am still waiting in Sweden 🙁

34 : Anonymous2021/04/16 07:44 ID: gup8jw4

I checked the 5900x last night before bed (0:00 UK time) and they actually had the option to buy. I managed to pick mine up after watching this website for sooooo long aha

35 : Anonymous2021/04/16 12:51 ID: gupvqsa

From scan? How much do you have to pay

36 : Anonymous2021/04/16 15:10 ID: guqdjsb

Yeah, £580 I think it was. I've waited long enough I don't care if its over MSRP lol

37 : Anonymous2021/04/16 07:51 ID: gup8zux

We had normal pricing for the 5000 series for quite some time in the PH, relatively speaking. However, for the GPUs, it's still bad at around 300% markup, with an RTX 3080 being more expensive than a 6900 XT

38 : Anonymous2021/04/16 08:22 ID: gupazmw

Yes 6800XTs now please!

39 : Anonymous2021/04/16 09:20 ID: gupek9i

Wow it been that long

40 : Anonymous2021/04/16 09:29 ID: gupf458

Great, more people that finally can get their share of Ryzen 5000 USB problems.

41 : Anonymous2021/04/16 10:49 ID: gupkjuv

I would recommend Scan. I have bought a few things from them now and have always been bang on.

42 : Anonymous2021/04/16 18:49 ID: gur7ss7

That should say everything you need to know about this CPU's sales...

43 : Anonymous2021/04/16 18:50 ID: gur80ay

Great, do they ship to the US? Still trying to get a 5900X.

44 : Anonymous2021/04/15 18:12 ID: gumrcny

Next time produce your shit half a year and then sell it later.

45 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:54 ID: gundsxk

Overclock have stock

46 : Anonymous2021/04/15 20:59 ID: gunehxv

For nearly 150% MSRP, yeah...

47 : Anonymous2021/04/15 14:19 ID: gulvat8

If only

48 : Anonymous2021/04/15 16:24 ID: gumcctu

Sunset wojak

49 : Anonymous2021/04/16 12:11 ID: guprmut

AMD underestimated their pricing potential.

We have had 5950s available in Bulgaria since December. 5900 was harder to find but is still available on a regular basis.

In more developed market it seems that enthusiasts have money to burn. AMD should have priced higher. Intel would have done it with the same performance advantage. I guess AMD still is behaving like the challenger.
