Demon’s Souls was my first souls game and people said that these games are incredibly hard but I found it quite easy. I would say I had more challenge playing Last of Us 2 on moderate. Don’t let the supposed hard difficulty be a turn off.

As far as Souls games go, Demon’s Souls is probably the easiest in my opinion.

Hearing this is wild to me. I’ve only played 2 Soulsborne games so far (Platinumed Bloodborne in January, and just platinumed Demon’s Souls last week), and I found DeS harder than Bloodborne

I didn't die once in 1-1, but the tower knight in 1-2 is kicking my ass, and the magicians in 2-1 are pretty strong. Died more than a few times at this point.

Here are my tips

If you die in boss fight, quickly press the PS Button and close the game in home screen. This will create a checkpoint right before the boss fight. I only found out about this towards the very end. This also works in regular levels.

Rank up your Vitality, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity. These are the 4 stats I only leveled up. Never messed with Magic. Upgrade your sword and Armour.

When in combat Be aggressive. Hit multiple times and move away to restrore stamina and repeat. Abuse grass moon when health is low.

Soul farming is a good way to level up. If you beat Tower Knight then at the opposite side there is 2 Blue Knights you can kill. They will drop about 900 Souls and Moon grass.
