Around 15 hours would be perfect for me. Long enough to get invested into a playthrough but not too long as to make re-playing a chore.

ID: gw5upbwThe question is, is it longer than a Leon+Claire RE2 playthrough or just one of them? I loved the demos for RE8 but it gave off a feeling of being short (30 min was enough to do a full clear of each area with thorough exploring).
ID: gw66dtrThose were definitely no full areas, it was one courtyard in the village and a few rooms on the base floor of the castle+a small bit of dungeon. Both with tons of locked things we couldn't get the key items for.
Reportedly it's 16 hours or so for just the story, definitely long enough for me if that's the case.

Every RE game is meant to be played at least twice. One play through for the scares. One play through for the secret items and alternate routes, etc.

I loved the length of 7. Felt tight and exciting, not padded out for the sake of it.

Hearing this is not particularly appealing to me. I prefer 'em shorter n' tighter these days.
RE2 Remake was actually a pretty perfect length for me.

7 took me about 10 hours to beat and it dragged for about 2 of those

i always assume my first play through of any RE main installment will be around 8hrs. that’s how it’s been since the beginning.

I mean, RE games are built to be able to be speed runned. RE2 can be beat in 2 1/2 hours and RE7 can be beat in less than 4 so... Idk how to take this lmao.

For me, from RE1 to CVX games had perfect length. I like RE4 and finished it several times, but sections with enemy waves are my least favorite part of games and made it drag a bit too long.

That would be a delight - I need a "only about 15 hours" game. I just finished Days Gone yesterday, after playing it consistently from start to finish....for a month and a half. I need a more condensed game experience before diving back into a 3rd person game

RE2 Remake on a blind hardcore first play through was the perfect length for me. Too much stress from horror games can outlive it’s welcome.

15 hours on a normal difficulty is good for me, can get it done in a weekend if I'm committed to it

Isn't because Village have CoD:Zombies mode which add more time to playthrough. It's easy 4-6 hours added to main campain.

I feel like I read that the estimated leg with is 15-20 hours depending on your skill and exploration.
Probably beat it pretty quick with assisted mode if you really wanted (I did this for my most recent 7 play through. Mostly because as I’ve gotten older I have much less time to replay harder areas of games over and over)
