PS Plus is so great now. Loving the selections so far.

ID: gxq6txb

Except the fact its required for online play, that part isn't great.

ID: gxq72g0

Not if the game is free.

3 : Anonymous2021/05/11 09:51 ID: gxpmhl6

I mean, the store still thinks CoD Ghosts is worth £55..

ID: gxpp9kb

That’s just greedy Activision. I noticed older COD games are unreasonably priced on PC too.

ID: gxpw8pj

Go to a store, I bet they’ll be $3-$10 haha. Online marketplaces are so odd.

4 : Anonymous2021/05/11 07:01 ID: gxpbqnv

Do people actually care about the dollar amount?

Its a totally useless metric to me.

ID: gxpd6hf

I guess you can look at the dollar amount as a way to see how much value is in psplus.

ID: gxpggpr

The problem is the dollar amount used in lists like these they use the full price of these games even though they go on sale regularly. Control was on sale like a month before going on ps plus. (I unfortunately bought it) Shadow of the Tomb Raider goes on sale almost every month for 15 bucks. Remnant from the ashes has gone on sale multiple times for around $20. Greedfall was on sale a few times for around $15. You could get Days Gone multiple times at $20. Stranded Deep has been at $14 and $12 going back to September. Battlefield V has been on sale every other month for $10-$15. Don't get me wrong I think most of these games are great games but aside from FF7R (which I already owned but it's still a magnificent game for PS Plus) and Oddworld a lot of these games are on sale all the time and it seems disingenuous to use their full price value when most of these games are rarely at full price. Edit: Zombie Army 4 was $25 in September then $20 in November, December and January. Farpoint was $10 in January. Wreckfest (a little bit different with the whole $10 upgrade for PS5 thing but still) was $20 in November, December and February. Concrete Genie was a $15 dollar game a month before it got revealed.

ID: gxpv7tu

Value isn't necessarily tied to money though.

If they gave us $70 games that are crap that wouldn't be as good as $20 games that are great.

ID: gxpczqa

Exactly. Especially since a game like wreckfest could cost more than bfv or tomb raider. I only care about quality of the games

ID: gxse5u7

Wreckfest got old after 5 mins and the queues seemed broken.

ID: gxq43j1

Quality over quantity

5 : Anonymous2021/05/11 07:18 ID: gxpcue6

Makes sense since there giving out PS5 Games aswell

ID: gxph9fr

Having the PS5 versions of Control, Maneater, and Wreckfest already made up for the $60 I spent on this year's PS+ subscription.

ID: gxpoda8

If you can, try and renew on black Friday. I got a year for £37.49 last November. Makes the free games even better value.

6 : Anonymous2021/05/11 13:03 ID: gxq31w3

It helps that there are PS5 games this year lol. Majority of 2020 was just PS4 games. We'll likely be getting the PS5 and PS4 games for a while seeing how long this PS5 shortage might last.

7 : Anonymous2021/05/11 13:59 ID: gxqa1am

As someone who skipped the PS4 gen, I'm having the time of my life.

8 : Anonymous2021/05/11 12:21 ID: gxpyjwt

Just FF7R alone is worth a full year subscription

ID: gxpzc2f

100%. I wish I got to take advantage of it with ps+ but I’m very happy for everyone else that did!

ID: gxr8zgp

I think the way they handled it with people that got it trough PS+ not being able to upgrade was a decent compromise. I'll definitely buy Integrate when I get a PS5.

Great, probably we can thank a Microsoft and Gamepass for this as well. Competition is beneficial for all gamers.

ID: gxpzfex

Meanwhile at Nintendo:

“Here are 10 free SNES games”

ID: gxq50gd

"Here's a rug for your house in a game that you may or may not have"

ID: gxqaren

Shitty ones nonetheless. I don’t even pay for Nintendo online anymore and it’s so cheap

ID: gxprzon

100%. As an owner of both consoles, this is going to be a great generation

10 : Anonymous2021/05/11 13:15 ID: gxq4iwv

I’m not really looking at the monetary value, more if a game is fun or not.

For me, Bugsnax (though I already bought it) and BFV already made my subscription’s worth.

11 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:07 ID: gxqb4rg

I remember the times where you didn't had to pay for online gaming on ps. Every now and then, the connection would fall away and you'd lose the game. Since ps plus started it's been way better for online gaming, you have a stable connection for 99% of the time. I don't have the time and resources to buy new games every months so it's nice to have some free games as well. And agreed, since the ps5 sony has been very friendly with their offering.

12 : Anonymous2021/05/11 13:44 ID: gxq836u

Gotta compete with game pass to some extent. Still wish they’d just combine ps now and plus into one standalone service

13 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:59 ID: gxqi7pk

They are not offered, they are part of a subscription. If you start like that Netflix>all

14 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:04 ID: gxqan4j

They better. Getting awfully jealous or gamepass

15 : Anonymous2021/05/11 11:27 ID: gxpte71

All the complaints about when a month doesn’t have the best games really confuses me. Personally I get my plus from CD keys for $30 a year. Honestly if we just get 2 free games a year it would be worth it to me, heck even just being able to play with friends online for a year is worth it. All over Reddit people throw fits when the games aren’t exactly what they wanted, it’s pretty sad.

ID: gxq8zt9

I found it really funny how everyone was complaining this month was shit even though two of the games are ones that I really looked forward to lmao

ID: gxqfqmm

It's obviously super subjective for everyone. Arguably the games this month are great titles if they're your genre - they aren't mine, but I've got the whole PS Plus collection and about a years worth of other PS Plus games to play through still so it's all good.

16 : Anonymous2021/05/11 11:29 ID: gxptmwm

Yes. 2-3 games per month

I don't have ps+ (yet) because of lack of time. So I have a question, are these free games free to keep or free for that month only?

ID: gxq39ox

As long as you redeem them and have an active ps+ membership, you can play them whenever you want.

ID: gxq3mxq

that's really neat, thanks!

ID: gxq40hj

You keep them as long as you’re a ps+ member, and if you decide not to renew for some reason and then come back later you still get those games once you’re a member again.

ID: gxq7o4h

Ooh good to see this. I'd always wondered.

18 : Anonymous2021/05/11 13:34 ID: gxq6rah

Totally agree - been pleasantly surprised each and every month.

19 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:07 ID: gxqb3xg

It's worthless info, because in gaming price does not equal quality at all. I don't complain about games themselves, as they were pretty ok, but judging PS+ "worth" based on price of games offered is wasting everyones time.

20 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:31 ID: gxqe9t8

I've been really blown away by the content from PS Plus -- I thought it would be similar to Games with Gold, but every month we have been seeing mostly blockbuster games.

I've not needed to really purchase any games for the PS5 because of the PS Plus collection + the free games they've given away.

21 : Anonymous2021/05/11 14:35 ID: gxqexbe

PS Plus has been fantastic this year.

PS Now on the other hand - what's been up with the new additions? If I didn't have such a huge backlog of games to play on the service already, keeping the subscription active would be completely pointless. Repeats of PS Plus games, think quite a few are available as part of the PS Plus collection.

I'm aware that this isn't the plan, but it really feels like Sony have abandoned the service recently.

22 : Anonymous2021/05/11 08:17 ID: gxpgmk8

I've been very happy with the games I get access to with psplus, even if I already own most physically. But boasting about the monetary value based on digital prices always looks so stupid to me, on any storefront, system or subscription. Often prices are 70-60 € for stuff I can buy for 20 or cheaper physical. Who is this marketing fluff really meant for?

23 : Anonymous2021/05/11 12:20 ID: gxpye1j

Why haven’t I been able to ad them to my library anymore tho? Am I doing something wrong?

ID: gxq0m6e

I've had this problem when using the in console version of the ps store it would force me to immediately download instead of add to library.

Now I just use the phone app to add them to library.

ID: gxqlrxb

Is there an easy way to navigate to the PS+ games in the app or will I just need to search then individually?

Edit: I found the games listed under the subscriptions tab.
