Prince of Persia Remake Will Release Before April 2022

I never played the original so I kept waiting for them to show the remake version in the trailer, (typical old vs new method). When I realized that WAS the remake and NOT the original.... I could not stop laughing.

Prince of Persia is getting a remake based on the Sands of Time version that was released for the PS2. When it was first revealed, the game was set for a launch in early 2021, but it was later delayed after the backlash against the game due to the visuals.
It was intended to come out In January (of this year)... So, they are giving it likely another year to bake and improve graphics.

I felt so disappointed after seeing the first videos of the remake.. Prince of Persia was probably my first ‘serious’ game as a kid and I got so hyped when I saw they were going to remake it. I imagined a Tomb Raider or Resident Evil level of remake.. then I saw a fucking mobile game level crap.. ansolutely pathetic.

I saw this popup in the PS Store and got excited. Then I saw the trailer and was immediately disappointed. That was embarassing. It was barely a PS4 quality game. If they delayed it to update it for PS5 or something then I would be interested again, but otherwise I could care less about this one.

The first ding it gets is that it's Ubisoft. I don't buy out of principal from them, secondly this game looks like a joke.

It doesn't look like a remake in the slightest from what o remember of the trailer. It looked like it has slightly better graphics but that's it. I could be remembering that wrong though.

See if they did a modernization of the real first game I’d be interested because you can do a lot with a remake of that. A Sands of Time remake is just a graphical overall. It’s not even like Final Fantasy VII where it was early era 3D graphics and the series has significantly evolved.

Only a year after they said it was coming out...Stop giving unrealistic release dates. Dont even mention games unless they are nearing completion
ID: gxsabtmThis is a different situation. They absolutely would have hit that original release date but the feedback was so poor when it was announced they've had to go back and re do a lot of things.

I played the original and loved it. I heard about the remake but hadn't seen the trailer. But I saw everybody joking about the graphics.
I had no idea how bad they really were. It's worse than mobile game quality.
