- Mass Effect Legendary EditionMay 17th Update

Hmm I only got through ME1 so far, was hoping they would fix some of the weird audio issues, guns are so loud in combat and not sure if it's in the original but character dialogue are just really quiet sometimes.
ID: gygnc5xID: gygt1kaLol my squad just wander off. Still loving the game
ID: gyh6uf4If only AI was the biggest problem with the game.
ID: gyhm45aI think the facial expressions are mental
ID: gygrrnfThe spacial audio (not sure if it existed in the original) is honestly pretty terrible. Walking through the Citadel I’d catch someone talking because of subtitles and spin my camera around to look for the person speaking and suddenly the volume jumps 200% and it turns out the person talking is standing two feet away the whole time. Just because my camera pivoted shouldn’t have that much of an impact on volume.
ID: gyh0k31its definitely a bug of some sort, considering the fact that adjusting the settings in the Sound menu don't affect gun sounds at all but everything else will get quieter.
ID: gygvge3I'm playing with sniper rifles. If I have the volume up enough to hear dialogue, the shot from a sniper rifle is deafening.
I'm all for "realism", but I'm playing a video game in a house with my family. Balance out the sound.
ID: gyi098nI use the PS5's mute feature liberally. Whenever I'm headed into a firefight, I mute he console. Far from ideal, but it's all I can do to hear conversations and not shake the apartment in fights without changing the volume every five minutes.
ID: gyi639cI haven't noticed the guns being loud but the characters sounding muted is very annoying.
ID: gyiaurcWas hoping the same 🙁

11.7GB on PS4 if anyone wanted to know

Was hoping for audio fixes in me1. Gun sounds, quiet dialogue, dialogue coming through rear speaker, loud teleport sounds.

When will they fix the wide open bug eyes? . Wasn't an issue in the original
ID: gygsejkI've been wondering about the facial expressions. The eyes have been making me laugh.
ID: gyi69xfAshley's eyes kills me every time. They were awful in the original though.
ID: gygurty"My brand!"
ID: gyhn2t6Creeps me out. I guess in the future, everyone is a serial killer just seconds away from stabbing anyone in arms' reach.
ID: gyhrwssThat's not in the original? Because this is something i instantly noticed, it looks very weird sometimes.
ID: gygu4hfDid they get the artists who worked on Andromeda to do these. They look shockingly bad.
ID: gyiele7They've done something to Miranda's face. I can't put my finger on it, but for sure it's not right.

I did most of feros solo because my companions got stuck somewhere
ID: gyhs3yuYou have to restart the game every time this happens.
ID: gyhisuiThis same thing happened to me this morning. Didn’t happen yesterday when I started it. Just finished it this morning and most of the time my companions would just stand still somewhere and sometimes, very rarely teleport to my location then get stuck there.

Anybody else getting microstuttering since this update?
-
Not very many patch notes for such a large file size.

First time mass effecter. I'm finding ME1 extremely janky. Only a couple of hours in. I can't figure out if the cover system is auto or not! Had to google the controller layout, seems quite weird so far. I know it's an old game so I'm being patient but it's a little painful thus far. Def into the story so far and the general vibes. Performance is good, really just the janky gameplay that's getting to me.
ID: gyi6h5eThe cover system in the first game is trash and thankfully much improved for the sequels. It's supposed to be auto but you have to run at the right angle and most times you end up pressing x anyway.

Ohhh shit tomorrows my bday I hope someone in my family gets me this lol
ID: gygpadgMine is the 19th so, same.
Although in 39 and should probably buy it myself lol
ID: gygu9xtHaha i’ll buy it for you if you buy it for me

Only major problems ive noticed are squadmates moving whereever they want, not taking cover, and also standing still in Feros. And an annoying movement/camera glitch that goes away in 30 seconds.
-
I weirdly had 2 bugs where I couldnt move at all and had to restart within 45 min of this update... not sure if it's related or not but I had no issues for the first 4 or 5 hours before the update. ALSO had a black screen on one of the reboots and had to close the app.

No multiplayer

These comments are making me scared to get this.
ID: gyi6yc2ME1 has a weird mix of ME1's original issues and some new stuff that's been brought in that's just weird. The lighting makes some areas more confusing than they need to be.
It's an odd duck because it's an older title and first in the series. Much like the Uncharted collection, you play it for the story but know the refinements in the sequels are where the gameplay comes in strongest. That said, I haven't started ME2 (or ME3) yet on the collection, so not sure how well they're handled. Reviews were a shit show of nostalgia and incomplete playthroughs so I don't know what's ahead.
ID: gyib7l6I wonder that too about what to expect ahead.... I've only put about 6.5 hrs into ME1 so far. All the reviews I saw didnt touch very much of 2 or 3.
ID: gyib21oAll of the comments about audio bugs are true, but god am I still so happy I bought it. Great, great time spent so far. I do wonder if the same issues are there for 2 and 3 though.

Aside from the laughably bad AI, the guns audio issue is the most obnoxious thing in ME1.
