Picking up Nex Machina.

Any other gems I should buy?

ID: h0kvo7y

I’m also picking nex machina, together with bloodstained and outer wilds!

3 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:24 ID: h0kjuys

OUTER WILDS FINALLY!!!!!

ID: h0kwb53

This is one of my favourite games ever. I definitely recommend it if you've not played before!

ID: h0l0aw5

How does it run on PS5?

ID: h0ll6c0

Outer Wilds is one of those games where I wish I could erase the memory of playing it so I could experience it for the first time again. Anyone who likes exploration/puzzle games (a la Breath of the Wild) should do themselves a favor and get this game. Don't read anything more, just get it and start playing.

4 : Anonymous2021/06/04 17:02 ID: h0l5vf2

I got disco elysium, risk of rain 2, spelunky 2 and pathless. Good deals for me.

ID: h0md8lj

I loved the pathless, its a great game!

5 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:55 ID: h0ko2c9

Ara Fell, Ghost Parade, Guacamelee 1 and 2, Momodora, Rainbow Moon and Skies, the three Shantae games, and Super Skelemania are all very good.

Bladed Fury, Bug Fables, Narita Boy, and Outbuddies DX are games I'm interested in. Might get some of them in this sale.

ID: h0l5uxu

Shantae games are fantastic, pirate’s curse is the best if you ask me

6 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:51 ID: h0knhjr

I have a psvr and ps5 and I cannot be bothered to set it all up. Blood and truth was fun and there were a few other games I liked but psvr 2 can’t come soon enough.

ID: h0l13jh

I decided to set my PS4 Pro up just for PSVR. It has an internal 2TB HDD and I filled it with all PSVR enabled games I own and gotten with PS+ and PSNow. I do still like my PSVR but like you I can't wait for PSVR2. The single-cable setup alone makes me excited.

7 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:22 ID: h0krx8u

I would recommend Spelunky 2, Limbo & Inside bundle and Guacamelee 2.

8 : Anonymous2021/06/04 18:25 ID: h0lhnag

How is Risk of Rain 2? Is it worth buying?

9 : Anonymous2021/06/04 19:33 ID: h0lr956

Return of the Obra Dinn is such a bloody great game, you actually feel like a detective.

10 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:07 ID: h0khmn6

Anything worth picking up?

ID: h0knd0h

If you have any tolerance for frustration/punishing games, absolutely pick up Pathologic 2. It's one of the best narratives out there-- brutal and delightfully strange.

ID: h0kinak

A Hat in Time is a great 3D platformer that lasts around 10 hours. Thought it was worth full price, so any sale on it is a great deal.

ID: h0llnrq

Also they just added a PS5 update which is 60fps

ID: h0ktluf

Outer wilds is a 10/10 for me

ID: h0klqke

Furi and gris are great games

ID: h0kp63f

Risk of Rain 2 and Last Campfire were pretty nice. The latter is short and fairly slow, but a competent puzzle game.

Fellow trophy hunters! So many great games here, and some really deep discounts. Here are some of my favorites, all of which have Platinum trophies that aren't too tedious or time consuming (unless otherwise noted):

Batman Telltale Series (both seasons) - Great story, very affecting choices, unexpectedly subverts "safe" Batman storytelling. Creaks - Sidescrolling puzzle game from the makers of Machinarium (also good). Just played this last month. Can be beaten in a night. Children of Morta - Gorgeous art and very fun isometric action-RPG combat. Progression and story are equally interesting and engaging. Donut County - Short but sweet. Katamari-like mechanics, cute and humorous story, can be beaten in a night. FAR: Lone Sails - No Plat for this one, so I played it on Switch, but a really atmospheric and interesting side-scrolling journey. I want more experiences like this. You manage and pilot a craft across a desolate landscape and solve puzzles you encounter along the way. Can be beaten in a night. Guacamelee! 1 and 2 - Some of my favorite Metroidvanias. Just terrific combat and game design. Engaging story. Fun Plats to chase. Ikenfell - Highly recommended retro-style turn-based RPG with a hell of a story and very memorable characters. This one wildly exceeded my expectations. It was all I wanted to play for like a week - great battle system. Maybe my favorite indie I've played this year, along with Children of Morta. N++ - Okay, this isn't an easy Plat, but it's my favorite Plat that I have. Challenging platforming that will make you want to pull out your hair, but it's pure, unfiltered twitch gaming. Tacoma - Explore a space station and piece together the mystery of what happened there with an augmented-reality playback mechanic. Can be beaten in an evening or two - interesting story with solid voice acting. The Gardens Between - A couple of hours with some novel puzzle mechanics. Super short but worth seeing. A little puzzle box of a game. The Messenger - Wonderful side-scroller that starts simply and then turns into something more complex and interesting. If you're into retro games from the 8-bit and 16-bit era, you'll enjoy how that style mixes with more modern game design. The Witness - One of my favorite puzzlers. Gorgeous world, challenging puzzles, and a very satisfying Plat. Last challenge is a toughie, but you can do it. Undertale - A classic. Don't even need to beat it for the Plat, but... very memorable. Virginia - Super cinematic little game - full of interesting camera work that carries you through a unique story. Has some emotional twists. Snazzy art.

I'm thinking about picking up some combination of SteamWorld Heist (80% off), Everything (80%), Never Alone Collection (80%), Darkest Dungeon Collection (75%), The Last Campfire (50%), and Owlboy (50%). I'll wait for deeper discounts before biting on CrossCode and Narita Boy, but I'm excited for both.

ID: h0llunx

Great list! I have the plat for most of those, but thanks for the recommendation for Tacoma, it looks good

ID: h0lopr7

N++ looks interesting, but definitely tires out your eyes with its constant flashing colours

Buy Disco Elysium if you haven't already.

13 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:59 ID: h0kos0w

Is the Disco Elysium port still as buggy as it was at launch?

ID: h0kqxgh

Exactly what I would like to know!

ID: h0l02ls

Nope it’s working mostly well now!

ID: h0ku18q

Not as buggy but still a little buggy. At 10-15 hours I haven’t encountered anything game breaking, just occasionally have to click enteractables multiple times.

ID: h0l246v

I’ve had the same experience, sometimes have to click twice but that’s it

ID: h0kuke2

I purchased it a month or so ago and it runs just fine. Controls are a bit dodgy on a controller but nothing too distracting.

ID: h0kxk5l

I played it since launch up until a few days ago. I never found any of the major bugs but early on the controls failed more often. It wasn't a big deal, just a bit annoying. Now it works much better in that regard. It's still not a great control system but more than enough to enjoy a game of this kinds without a problem. So I highly recommend it if you are interested.

14 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:35 ID: h0ktoy7

Buy outer wilds

15 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:03 ID: h0kh5ec

How similar is Outer Wilds to Subnautica? Because I honestly don't like that game, it feels like a chore to me, I played for a while but I don't have any drive returning to it any time soon, I'll probably finish it someday.

ID: h0kio3w

Outer Wilds is basically all about exploration with essentially zero ressource management, so I think you‘d like it a lot more

ID: h0klyz9

This sounds promising, I realised with Subnautica that I seriously despise the surviving genre or how is it called, not for me, and I don't struggle with it, I just find it boring, gather this and build that. Outer Wilds interest me because everyone said how good the story and mystery is in this game, but I still have reservations because some voices said similar things about Subnautica mystery and it doesn't get me.

ID: h0ktsmd

You should play Outer Wilds. Everyone should play Outer Wilds.

Only similar to subnautica in that both center around exploration. You don’t gather resources or build anything in Outer Wilds but the adventure through exploration is simply amazing. Game of the decade in my book.

ID: h0kji5o

Outer Wilds really reminds me of Metroid Prime without guns. The game really left me speechless and deserves every bit of praise it has received. Play it with a loved one and get lost in its mystery! 10/10 easily.

ID: h0kvaen

Okay y'all convinced me, pulled the trigger, let's see

16 : Anonymous2021/06/04 14:39 ID: h0kluhd

Is The Pathless any good?

ID: h0kotih

I like it, it's a good binge game or one to just jump into for an hour here and there.

Movement and action in the game is different because you have to sort of hit targets (the game auto-aims pretty well) to move and do things fluidly, which I found pretty interesting.

The story feels like Shadow of Colossus in that it's a vague "save this land from monsters" sort of thing.

Didn't know any of that before picking it up but don't regret picking it up.

17 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:26 ID: h0ksffk

I see "Not a Hero" is 80% off. Played it on Xbox. Fun little platform shooter with a bit of humour.

18 : Anonymous2021/06/04 19:25 ID: h0lq2hj

Some good/interesting/weird titles that not many folks have mentioned yet:

Wilmot's Warehouse Thief Simulator Drawngeon: Dungeons of Ink and Paper Life of Fly Punch Club Atomicrops Snakeybus Chroma Squad Downwell Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime Crypt of the Necrodancer Pathologic 2 We Were Here Coffee Talk Wattam Simulacra 39 Days To Mars The Blackout Club Pato Box
19 : Anonymous2021/06/04 20:27 ID: h0lykhk

Nex Machina worth it? I loved Returnal and love old school arcade games.

ID: h0mfu2c

Yes. It's made by the same developers, Housemarque.

20 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:43 ID: h0kusvf

Outer Wilds is one of the best games I’ve ever played.

21 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:45 ID: h0kv1jx

This list always reminds me that Hades isn’t on PSN but it also doesn’t matter because i’d buy it day 1 full price so I wouldn’t be looking for it on sale anyway.

ID: h0l4v0g

I believe it's coming. I think I heard it was rated for PS4 by some country's ratings board.

22 : Anonymous2021/06/04 18:26 ID: h0lhu92

If you enjoy horror games, get Darkwood. Easily one of the most disturbing and terrifying horror games out there.

24 : Anonymous2021/06/04 18:49 ID: h0ll4uq

Is Spelunky 2 good?

25 : Anonymous2021/06/04 22:51 ID: h0mh1pz

It's very good but it doesn't give you an inch. It's very much a rogue-like more than a rogue-lite.

It's expertly crafted but kind of expects the same kind of expertise from the player. It's pretty unforgiving but rarely unfair.

26 : Anonymous2021/06/04 18:54 ID: h0llvh1

Hellblade and Lichdom: Battlemage! Get these two if you haven't played them, they're amazing.

27 : Anonymous2021/06/04 15:07 ID: h0kpthr

Let me know when the 99 cent flash sales come back.....cause Pepperidge farms remembers..

28 : Anonymous2021/06/04 17:58 ID: h0ldky7

Please people, give Furi a chance.

29 : Anonymous2021/06/04 23:19 ID: h0mkd9o

Damn looks like a lot of shovel ware with a few good titles. Might pick up curse of the dead gods.
