This was absolutely a bare-minimum effort simply so they could officially sell the game in a PS5 box rather than PS4. That's all this is. If their intention really was to make this properly next gen then loading wouldn't be half a minute still.
ID: h2hbnitSplash screens need to die out already. Any game that is running PS5 native should be able to fully load in under 5-10 seconds. The game must be terribly optimized to still need 30 seconds.

Bioware messed up ME:A and Anthem, and people mostly put the blame on EA, yet when Respawn makes an awesome game or DICE showcases a promising new BF entry, only the devs are praised. Can’t you see the hypocrisy in this?

Any chance this might prevent it just from dying at the Wookie planet? Or am I just unlucky with my disk copy?
ID: h2fwkl0I played the digital version on PS4 pro and I just couldn't believe the horrible stuttering on that planet, as well as the pop-in of textures. I'd have to reinstall it one of these days on my PS5 to check it out, but man, if that isn't fixed I don't know what they did.

I decided to buy an SSD for my PS4 Pro thanks to this game. There were lots of stuttering and texture pop-in on Kashyyyk. After using an SSD, it is a lot better. (No PS5 yet).

ID: h2fvrfrWhy? Surely it wasn't a masterpiece but it's far from being trash as well, it was an enjoyable game, especially coming from EA. It's a step in the right direction and sequel could be really good if they learn their lesson.

ID: h2fr4f6Exactly. This game’s combat is so overrated. I finished the game and as a long time Star Wars fan, I was so disappointed. I felt like I was carrying around a glows baton the entire game. It was boring. Fighting was a chore. It shouldn’t feel that. You’re fighting people with a fucking lightsaber… a weapon that can cut through almost anything.

I swear the load times have been fantastic this generation for PS5 and Xbox. I cant wait till games start using PS5's SSD fully and XSX's Direct Storage Velocity Architecture. Want loading times to just be gone forever.

It looks better, but load times still feel too long. About 30-30 sec to come back from death.
