Literally just bought Returnal and Miles last Tuesday. 🙁
Returnal is my GotY so far. Hits all the right notes.
E: Contacted support and they refunded me the difference in voucher form.
ID: h2zqh8wID: h31v6xzWhat method do you recommend, just calling? I tried going through their web support system and I’m having no luck
ID: h2zqrdpI'll try that. Hopefully they will since it hasn't been too long.
ID: h30a3dzI bought Demon Souls on Thursday too 🙁
ID: h30k03rContact ps support they’ll sometimes credit you the difference
ID: h308ilvReturnal-is it really that hard?i just bought it but I can't play before next week.
ID: h30g3c4Once it clicks it’s challenging but not crazy.
Dodge through stuff and your halfway there haha.
I loved the game it was so fun.
ID: h30e4xbI'm terrible at shooty games and I'm only on the 5th biome after about 80 hours. (Beat the fourth boss in my first try last night, wooooo!!!)
But I absolutely love the game even though I suck hard at it. It's gorgeous, the combat feels incredible, the music/audio/haptics are suuuuuper engrossing with good headphones - it's just all around super fun.
ID: h30eir3Depends on your experience with other games.
It’s nowhere as mechanically hard as Bloodborne/Sekiro (imo).
It’s only “hard”… or really, more frustrating... Because there are no save points, and levels are longer than other Roguelites.
It’s not too difficult, but just far too long to make any progress, and that can wear you out.
ID: h2zqrvcContact support and they'll probably refund you the difference - usually the case within 2 weeks

I bought Dark Souls: Remastered and got 3 hours in before I bounced off.
I bought Bloodborne and didn't get past the first city area.
I bought Dark Souls III and beat the first boss, but got stuck on the next mini-boss and haven't touched it since.
Why am I so tempted to buy Demon's Souls when all the data shows they're just not my kind of game lol
ID: h30hzhdDemon’s Souls is a lot more forgiving. Especially if playing Magic (Royalty).
Also, can follow some YT walkthroughs.
Helped me a lot during my playthrough, and still enjoyed the game a lot, despite all the tips being given my way.
ID: h30pqb5Can approve fighting cowboy. Very good walkthrough.
ID: h31qflaDemons souls is a LOT easier than the other games. Magic is incredibly overpowered making it even easier if you want. And co op is unrestricted so you can have level 700+ allies one shot all your opponents if you want.

As always it pays to be patient - Returnal here I come.
ID: h30rwnsExactly my thoughts. I was waiting until either <$50 or announcement of save & quit. My backlog is pretty massive still, but this will shoot up to next or right after that. I want to play ghostrunner (just picked up for $15 on sale), and that game seems like it'll be quick. I think I'll use it as an intermission between two enormous titles (TLOU2 and Returnal).
I love video games haha. Playing, talking about them, whatever. Hope you enjoy returnal!

Links for the US Store....
SM:MM-
Demon's Souls-
Returnal-
ID: h2zxubxLol. Miles Morals $30 in the US, €40 or $47 in EU.
Seriously Sony, Why does the same game costs 56% more in the EU? You can't blame that just on taxes.
ID: h2zzjdxIt's not just Miles, DS and Returnal are 50$/60€, ridiculous pricing.
ID: h30x6viReturnal is still $65 at 30% off. $89 regular. As a Canadian, those sales are gonna have to be WAY deeper. I'm not paying full retail price for a game that's supposed to be on sale.

Sony has Major, days of play sale last month… then a month later has a small weekend sale and the deals are better…
-
Never played the OG Spider-man so the Miles Morales ultimate edition is now a good buy for me! Cheers!!

Looks like I’m finally picking up Sackboy.
Does anyone know if you can use Share play on this game with a friend or will they need it as well to play online co-op?
ID: h2zmu00You can practically share play any game.
ID: h2zn6n0Oh nice! I’ve never used the feature before so I’ll need to look more into how it works.
ID: h2zo9ffYou can Shareplay this with a friend who doesn’t own it, yes. It treats it like couch coop except the other person is online.
-
So normal reasonably priced games then?
ID: h334gxmJust in the US.

Returnal---I give this game a 9/10 with the only negative being that a lack of a save feature really hurts it IMO. And no, I don't mean a typical save, I mean they need to add a "Save and Delete" feature like every other great roguelike. Music, Graphics, Gunplay, and Atmosphere are all a perfect 10 though. Best shooting and movement on the PS5 currently.
Demon's Souls--The best looking game I have ever played. If you like any of FromSoft's games in the last 10 years buy this. If you like any "Soulslikes", buy this.
Would love to hear ya'll opinions on Sackboy and Miles Morales.
ID: h2znf89Sackboy is great if you have someone to couch coop with
ID: h30aebjStill worth playing solo at all?
ID: h2zs1pcAgreed. My wife and I absolutely love Sackboy
ID: h2zo8oaI agree that Returnal is a fantastic game. It has a very high learning curve but once you get a hold of the basics, the game is just so much fun to play. I loved the narrative as well, a real treat if you enjoy plot twists. I can't recommend this game enough for people who aren't afraid of challenge and that enjoy improving themselves as players.
As for Demon's Souls, I am still waiting for the game to drop to around 40€. I am eager to try it but as there is no spoiling the storyline, I can patiently wait for it.
Miles Morales is a must for anyone that enjoyed Spider-Man on the PS4. It feels like an evolution of that game in every aspect: Miles' powers are overpowered and flashy, the sidequests are more fun and obviously, web-swinging at 60 fps is a gamechanger. Be warned, the main campaign and the game itself is short. But totally worth it. If you never played Spider-Man PS4, buy the ultimate edition (includes Spider-Man remastered for the PS5) and be ready for a wild ride.
ID: h2zn48gIf you like Spider-Man PS4 you should like Miles. It's smaller obviously, but Miles is even more fun to play as than Peter.

Finally! My ps5 was collecting dust cause these games are getting so damn expensive
ID: h2zqdl4My tip has been picking up games on eBay a couple weeks later for $40-50. You’d be surprised how quick the price drops- brand new and sealed too!
ID: h31d8n8Same, I haven't turned my ps5 in a long time. I've been buying multiplats on PC as they are so much cheaper there and because of game pass. First party games from Sony are ludicrous prices so I haven't bought any of them.
-
I bought Returnal 5 days ago at full price. I contacted support and they refunded me $22. No hassle.
-
Hmm, I will think about Demon's Souls....
Even though I don't like the difficulty barrier in those games.
EDIT: Ok, ok guys you all made some good points on why it's accessible! I'm considering pressing the button! It looks spectacular, so i'm super interested to see how this one goes!
ID: h2zout6This one is definitely the easiest one if you’ve played the others but I completely understand not wanting to spend money on something you may not love. Graphically, it’s fantastic to look at.
ID: h2zztzmIs it harder or easier than Returnal in your opinion? I’ve almost platinumed Returnal.
ID: h304dozDon’t even look at ni oh then
ID: h2zp31xIf you play magic, it's stupid easy. 100% easy mode.
ID: h2zpjdg100% this. go royalty and grab the crescent falchion and it's so easy
ID: h2zoquvI'm not that good, haven't played much Dark Souls or Sekiro, but I've been able to make progress in Demon's Souls, cleared about 7-8 bosses. Magic helps a lot for a first attempt.
-
Would you look at that! They’re at normal prize with a 25% discount.
-
Which game provides the best next-gen feel to it between MM and DS?
-
