I just bought this game a week ago, and its increeedible.
ID: h4d4qb2Have you been able to get very far? I can't get past the 3rd biome.
ID: h4d9dz7If you're struggling, what I did was, go through B1&B2 from start to finish, proper grind, and get your health up a massive chunk, this will help like you won't believe.
Rushing to B3 is asking for trouble.
I spent around 2 hours before hitting B3, I then strolled through it and took down the boss. Prior to that I was 0/2 on the boss and maybe 5 deaths in the Biome itself.
ID: h4diazgAnother tip is to just casually play a night or two and just use weapons that aren't ranked up - just focus on killing everyone and leveling them up. You'll get more level two unlocks/perks and generally have better guns so when you DO commit to a run, you'll have better perks. Perks can make a HUGE difference.
It's one thing that bugged me about people claiming the games too hard and it sucks losing progress (I don't mean you) - because really any time you play with a new perk, you are still making progress... It's just not immediately apparent.
When you melt a boss with a leveled up, full auto rocket launcher you'll see the benefit.
ID: h4dn9opThe electron driver gun is incredible as it lets you spray and run/dodge while still doing dmg.
I did not start using this gun until Biome 5, but once I started using it hard for me to use anything else

Completed Act 1 - 2 a month ago without dying to a single a boss (Astronaut artefact wink wink lol). I really need to jump back in again for the platinum and the conclusion to act 3.
Even after getting the platinum for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal still might be game of the year for me. I’m a big fan of Sci-fi especially dark/horror Sci-fi like Alien, Event horizon, Sphere, Interstellar to name a few. So the atmosphere really sold it for me.
ID: h4dmmyoI loved Returnal but the story went nowhere. Not sure why people call it Act2. There’s literally the end credits and the cutscene. Yes there’s a “secret cutscene” but I just looked it up on YouTube. It felt like a way to just inflate the game length. Really the game was just two parts not a 3 act structure. Just get pretty deflated that the story is just a choose your own meaning because we didn’t want it to make sense.
Was a 10/10 that went to a 7/10 overall for me. Gameplay is incredible though, easily one of the tightest playing games ever.
ID: h4dun8uCouldn't agree more, I really thought there was going to be some kind of cool alien mystery, like the final boss at the end was some kind of crazy near god like being that lives outside of time who planted all those little clues in Selene's life to lead her to Phobos so she could fulfill some purpose it needed outside help for, and it like fucked up her whole life because all she wanted to do was find out the answer about what was calling to her, then she gets to the planet and gets stuck in the time loop and starts going completely bat shit insane.
Instead it's just a weird childhood trauma story about some characters that are based on a greek myth drip fed to you in a way that makes it seem more interesting. HM excels at gameplay, but they need to hire some new writers.
ID: h4dob4wI’ve only done a total of 4 runs, so I assume there’s still a lot more lore/story to uncover or unlock. Selene failed “ascension” in part 2 and was deemed unworthy, so I thought there would be an Act 3 to resolve this.

ID: h4d3jt7Which biome? They literally will all spawn once you fulfill the requirements and 100% gaurantee you just have to look in the right area (which always spawns) for each biome.
ID: h4d3oetThe final underwater one, I found the others with relative ease but finding this one has cost me three cycles.

Well done you, I just finished Act 2 and I feel amazing. Genuinely one of my proudest completions.
Now starting the end game Act 3 stuff.
