Well unfortunately played a little on ps4 when it came out thinking I could link accounts then when I didn't do my research, haven't played game in long time cause never want to on pc much anymore but I've put tons of hours on pc so knowing I can't link my ps account now I guess I still won't be getting back into the game, oh well.

ID: h4miykxI think all the trophies are tied to in-game achievements. So presumably when the PS5 sees you have the in-game achievement, it pops that trophy for you.

PSA - BIG WARNING FOR CROSS-SAVE ACCOUNT:
Q3: What type of account can be linked?
A3: The account to be linked must meet the following conditions: for the account for PSN and the email address to be linked, either the account for PSN must not have been used to log into Genshin Impact, or the email address must not yet have been used to register a miHoYo Account. That is, the following two cases:
1) If the account for PSN has not been used to log into Genshin Impact, an email address that has been used to register a miHoYo Account can be linked to the account for PSN.
2) If the email address has not been used to register a miHoYo Account, an account for PSN that has been used to log into Genshin Impact can be linked to this email address. At the same time, this email address will be used to register a miHoYo Account.
Travelers, please note that the following cases are not eligible for account linking:
Your account for PSN has already been used to log in to Genshin Impact and you want to link it to an email address that is already associated with a miHoYo Account. In this case, account linking will not be possible.
The reason for this is that your account for PSN automatically registers a miHoYo Account after logging into Genshin Impact. Thus, it cannot be linked to an email address that is already associated with a different miHoYo Account.
Hence, Travelers, if you want to link an account for PSN that has logged in to Genshin Impact to your email address, you must ensure that your email address is not associated with a miHoYo Account yet.
So basically if you are on PC/Mobile and want to play on PSN and have yet to launch the game on PlayStation, DO NOT start a new game before completing the cross-save procedure or else you won't be able to link it!
*IMPORTANT: The pop-up window prompting you to link your accounts only appears when your account for PSN enters the game for the first time, after you agree to the Terms of Service. You can only link an existing miHoYo Account from this pop-up window. If you skip the pop-up, your account for PSN will log in to the game and register a miHoYo Account, after which it can no longer be linked to an email address that is already associated with a separate miHoYo Account.

ID: h4lmb0myeah it's probably because their system doesn't support merging 2 different progression save. They could have made it that you choose which system account is main one over the other. (destiny 2 did that)
I guess you can always created a second PSN account just for genshin impact if you want to keep your PC/Mobile progression and play on PS4/5.

ID: h4ltew9A way to get around that limitation is to create a new PSN account via the family way and use that on your PC account.
It does mean that you have to logon the PlayStation with the other PSN account but you can play the game linked.

I changed my email for the psn to my burner email. I hope this works. I can't seem to change my email on my MiHoYo account.(which is my alt GI account).
ID: h4n9zohAny idea about which server you're going to be placed in? As far as I know on Playstation, your Genshin Impact server depends on which region you're in PSN.
I have both a US (main) and Asian account. It bummed me out that I got placed on a US server when I live in Asia, and the ping wasn't good.
ID: h4nb1peThe link I posted at the end of my previous post explain it. Your PSN and miHoYo Account need to be from the same region to be able to link them together.

Oh wow, cross-save with PC and mobile! Finally! I'm playing on PC but would have love to play this game on the big screen but didn't wanted to start over.
Guess I'll install it once 2.0 is release!

Finally having cross-play is nice, i ended up rerolling on Ps5 and now am ahead of my PC account alredy, but nice for those still waiting.

So way back then I use the current email (email 1) of PSN account to play on PC, later I end up rerolling using ANOTHER email (email 2) on PC. So what do I do now if wanna use email 2 account on the PS5?
I have not play GI on the PS because I am waiting for this. Is there gonna be problem? Will GI on PS5 auto detect my email 1 and use that account?

I have been curious about this game but haven't touched it because of the cross save complaints. I want to play on PS5 and android, maybe PC sometimes. Is it safe to start now or should I wait until the update comes out?

Ok this is so confusing
Both my mobile and PSN accounts have the same email - in this case, assuming I only care about my PSN account should I be deleting my mobile account (if that is even possible)?
ID: h4opcniI think you'd have to email them to delete the mobile account. You can also just change the email connected to the mobile account to a non psn email. Freeing up your PSN email for a new blank account to link when the update comes around.

Hot damn. Ibe been playing on PC all this time, but haptic feedback on PS is enough to lure me over. How is the control with a gamepad? Im guessing only arrow aimimg may be a little meh.

You could try contacting them and seeing if they can just erase the current account associated with your psn.
