Still playing Judgement. Just got to the part when you have to Follow Mari from Tender to see what her secret occupation is.

I cruised through Y0-Y6. But Judgement has been slow for me to get into.

Slow for me too. Usually I would play Kiryu Kazami for hours. Because of Takayukis fighting style, it's kinda slow and automated or something. It just doesn't resonate with me. But the sequel looks cooler though.

Judgment is this year's game and a turn based Yakuza will most likely be next year's game. So they have about two years to work on another action series. It could be doable I suppose

Are the judgement games Yakuza games ? Or are they totally different?

They are set in the same world but you are not in the yakuza in these games. If you have played other yakuza games and enjoyed them (it has action fighting instead of the recent turn based from Y7) I really reccomend it.

They’re a spin off. Same universe, it just takes place in the perspective of detectives hunting down Yakuza mob members involved in murder.

Seeing the IP is dead i wont waste much money on it.. liked the first game but here i wait for a 10-20$ sale.. if i can bother not sure yet.

These games don't end on a cliffhanger so it doesn't really matter if the IP is dead. I've played every single mainline Yakuza game except 5 and all may have continuing characters but the storylines are self contained.

For real. I can agree with waiting for sales for games you're not sure of, but refusing to support a game because it "might" not have a sequel, is simply going to guarantee that we won't get a sequel...chicken or the egg situation.

I think if Sega sees that the game is viable just launching on consoles, I'm sure they would make another game. Up till Yakuza 7 they always only launched on PlayStation, so I can't see why not.

Judgement is still connected to Yakuza which is still continuing. Also, do you only play games that are getting sequels?

Dumb comment. Plenty of games do not have sequels, by your logic all those games should not be played.
