ID: h666d4mEA after their 2017 disaster (Battlefront 2 launch and such) has been putting out some great quality. EA Originals is one-of-a-kind too. Maybe even EA Sports will make a turn for the better once pressure from eFootball ramps up.

Predatory microtransactions schemes, selling old sports games with updated rosters for near full price on PC and Switch, literally selling a game that cannot be played anymore (Titanfall) because of a hacker... and doing nothing about it. EA is still shit and they will continue to be shit.

It's great that EA is actually doing this, but let's not forget that it was also EA that ruined the series and later shutdown the premiere studio behind it due to their bad executive decisions.

ID: h65n6leThey didn’t mess with the Mass Effect rerelease, that was actually a phenomenal deal with great improvements. It’s possible that they’ll mess this up, but my guess is they’re trying to fix their brand image with the few beloved games they have, so I’m hopeful that they won’t pull some bs here.

It's for current gen consoles (PS5/SeriesX) only. I see that as an absolute win ! They won't have to scale down for last gen.

This is the first horror game that I actually beat back in college days. I'm really stoked to play it again.

Stoked, if only b/c I encountered a save-file corrupting bug about 1/4 of the way through my first playthrough of this 13 years ago. Took a while to come back to, and once I did, remakes were starting to become quite commonplace....so I waited years for it to get remade on the PS4 to no avail. Still, my copy sat, and every so often I'd think about picking it back up, but then I'd think, no, its so old now you won't enjoy it.
My patience has finally paid off.

The game has such an amazing atmosphere and I have to imagine it will only get better and more immersive on the PS5.
I'm really looking forward to the segments in space... that eerie quietness that sets your teeth on edge...
Not to mention I'll, again, get to watch my SO jump out of his skin every few minutes only to burst out laughing together because of it... ugh... so much nostalgia.
