I'm surprised this is coming since I'm pretty sure it's been on pc for over a year now.

I never really got into this series but it definitely has its niche.

my experience was it’s much more technical: learning shipping routes, trading sim, etc. i’d check out King of Seas instead, very inspired by Sid Meier’s Pirates

It’s a play on words from Port Royal. Which is a place in Jamaica that was famous during the pirate days.

Why are ppl still using next gen when we are already in next gen?

The argument is that a lot of people still can't buy one but I'd argue 10 million worldwide sales constitutes current gen.
