Rumor is that FromSoftware might be making another exclusive for Playstation
2 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:01 ID: h8j2gpf

They've done plenty already so that wouldn't be surprising.

ID: h8kqis5

Also, how would they make a game if not fromsoftware?

3 : Anonymous2021/08/11 14:30 ID: h8jdkg7

I'll buy any of their games day one at this point. I just know it's gonna be some quality stuff.

They have yet to disappoint me since Demon's Souls and Tenchu Z..

Armored core would be awesome

Another new souls like would be amazing

Another new, more risky IP (like sekiro was in a sense) would also be incredible, as they've shown.

ID: h8l4k0z

Armored core please!

I’d kill for more bloodborne

Remastered or otherwise

ID: h8jea6u

There was a rumor talking about a possible spiritual successor to Bloodborne.

ID: h8j7b33

I booted it up yesterday and 30fps was so jarring. It felt so stiff.

ID: h8j91uw

It's still my favorite From Software game regardless honestly.

ID: h8j811a

Keep playing it for an hour and your eyes will get used to it

ID: h8jfo34

It's not just the 30fps either its got terrible frame pacing on top of that

ID: h8jc2ek

Bloodborne truly needs a remaster. Performance is so bad on PS4 and the game never even got a proper PS4 Pro update. Going back to Bloodborne after playing Demon's Souls Remake is painful.

A sequel isn't really needed imo. Sure, it would generate a lot of hype but I think trying to outdo what Bloodborne did would be tough. Better to outsource a Bloodborne remaster and work on a new IP instead.

Theres also a rumor that FromSoftware is gona utilize the dualsense . It is so immersive that the blades come out from the controller and stab you each time your character dies.

From unknown source:

Mizayaki : "We tried to implement a so called rumble-shock add on feature, an enhanced version of dual shock that sends 110v of electricity to your hands (220v in other countries) to enhance the feeling of getting hit from the enemies. Sony said no because it may disrupt the dualsense sensors so we put rusty blades instead that pops up like a switchblade from the controller"

ID: h8k2fhl

I heard this too! Also that if your character catches on fire, the controller will just spontaneously combust and take you tf out

ID: h8kacja

"Prepare to Die" is hitting different this time

6 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:39 ID: h8j6uj5

The first (good) idea I had when I was feeling the dualsense for the first time was how you could use the haptic feedback to "sense" attacks before the enemy makes them. Feeling the air sizzling before a lightning bolt, for example. One image in my head was a FromSoftware type game where the enemy can blind you temporarily, leaving you to parry on sound and feel.

It's exciting to think about what that team might come up with if they dedicated their efforts to that input device.

There was a little bit of that in the Demons Souls remaster. Every so often you’d get a little jolt/other cue and it was actually kinda helpful. Also when using heavier weapons you could feel the vibrations if you missed and hit the ground, like striking an enormous gong. It was so awesome, I’d love to see a From game that made full use of every aspect of the Dualsense

ID: h8jcvc1

I was really hoping there'd by a lot more Dual Sense features in Demon's Souls and was kinda disappointed. The game was great however, and doesn't really need them, but it would have been cool.

ID: h8jjope

I also enjoy the sound effects that come from the controller speaker on top of all the other sound output.

ID: h8jd8b7

You know how some shooters use damage indicators to try to tell the player where they're being shot from? Imagine using the rumble feature to try to give players a more instinctive feeling of where they're being shot from. With the level of precision the ps5 controller has, I think they could very easily communicate "clock" direction with rumble and with a little bit of practice players could instinctively know where they are being hit from in the game world.

ID: h8jafvz

Can you please apply for a job at FromSoftware that sounds awesome

ID: h8jc2sn

Have you tried Returnal?

ID: h8jduur

I've had to force myself to put that one down after beating it. It's so fucking addictive.

*Rumour says not Bloodborne 2*

*Everybody thinking it's Bloodborne 2*

8 : Anonymous2021/08/11 14:05 ID: h8ja5e8

I know it won't happen but God I wish we'd get a Bloodborne 2. The setting and gameplay were so fantastic. I could never jazz with Dark Souls 1 or 2, but Bloodborne sucked me in with the amazing setting, and the fact that you can't just turtle up with a shield. Using guns to parry and the trick weapons were awesome. I also liked the randomly generated chalice dungeons, tho it seems most people did not.

ID: h8jq751

I'm so desperate for BB2, the first is like a comfort game for me, another game with that level smooth movement, world exploration, and interesting movesets would be so incredible...

It's also like the perfect game to make a "sequel" to that tells its own story...

Yharnam wasn't the only city on that world that discovered a Great One and plunged everything into chaos - they could do a telling of an Eastern city that did a similar thing, or like Pthumeria or something. Endlessly repeatable without being super derivative (like DS3 sometimes was).

I'd even be okay with a Dark Souls 2 version of BB lol I just want more to do with the IP.

Also, a new Wipeout and this is from a legit leaker.

ID: h8j4ivt

lets see what a fromsoft wipeout looks like

ID: h8j4p4u

"You Died"

ID: h8j52mw

BloodborneKart lives!

ID: h8j4uxb

Don’t mess with my emotions like that. Been hoping for a new wipeout for so long. The Omega collection was excellent but a brand new current gen wipeout would be mind blowing.

ID: h8j3pdu

You got a link to that? After they closed down the Studio I can hardly believe that they would make another one

ID: h8j3v1b

He says it on another tweet that Lucid is likely working on it.

10 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:50 ID: h8j8az2

Armored Core, one can dream.

ID: h8jqtpv

11 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:20 ID: h8j4n3z

Armored Core with all the customization but plays like a Souls game. Make it happen From!

ID: h8jbm02

It would be better if it was Armored Core but built off of everything that made 4 the best of the series. Not souls like, and definitely not like the newer AC games that came on the PS3

ID: h8j6uxp

This! This! This! AC was FS’s bread and butter back in the day. Damn that series had so many entries and great customization. I’d kill for a modern revamp of this.

12 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:43 ID: h8j7dgo

Hopefully. Bloodborne is one of the best games ever made.

13 : Anonymous2021/08/11 15:11 ID: h8jj997

this and elden ring, from software keeps on giving

14 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:29 ID: h8j5n2p

Demon Souls 2. I don’t think Sony remade the first game for a one-and-done. They want that IP to continue.

Bloodborne 2 could happen, but I think most fans are happy with how it ended. It’s not clear where a sequel would go.

Bloodborne remaster could be done by Sony themselves, without FS. If they’ve got FS, I think they’d want a new game.

ID: h8j7pxf

I’ve been putting “Demon’s Souls 2” out into the universe all year. If they use that gorgeous Blue engine Point used, I’ll be a happy camper.

I’d be extra happy with a 6th arch stone DLC plus a teaser of Demons Souls 2, but I know not to get too excited and make shit up

ID: h8jf060

Honestly what would DSS 2 be? It’s dark souls, just in a slightly different dark fantasy world.

The basic gameplay is the same, the only truly noticeable difference was the world balance thingy. Everything else is just Dark Souls before it was called Dark Souls.

And no, the fact that the gameplay feels a bit different doesn’t change the point: the combat system is different from DS1 to DS2 to DS3 but they’re all clearly sequels one to the other. If I called Demon’s souls “Dark Souls 0” you wouldn’t say a word against it until you notice that the lore doesn’t match

ID: h8ja6dw

Honestly I wouldn't want FS do do that. The graphical quality Bluepoint turned out for that remake was so above and beyond anything FS has done yet it would likely be a major step back.

ID: h8jgkpd

Demon’s Souls doesn’t need a sequel. The entire Dark Souls series of was pretty much just that. I’d rather have them make a new IP.

ID: h8j776e

Usually when there’s no where to go after an ending, you go after a beginning. Wouldn’t be surprised at a Bloodborne Prequel

15 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:51 ID: h8j8by3

16 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:46 ID: h8j7pr8

Later in that thread the leaker says expect game in 2022-2023 which is way sooner than I expected.

17 : Anonymous2021/08/11 13:42 ID: h8j79dr

Come on, Armored Core.

18 : Anonymous2021/08/11 14:13 ID: h8jb81z

I would love a “spiritual sequel” to Bloodborne that iterates on its game systems even if it’s set in a different world.

19 : Anonymous2021/08/11 15:12 ID: h8jjcai

As much as I fucking adore bloodborne and think its the game of last generation, I’d much rather prefer they start a new IP. Thats when they’re at their best and most creative, im sure miyazaki feels similarly
