ID: h8jc2ekBloodborne truly needs a remaster. Performance is so bad on PS4 and the game never even got a proper PS4 Pro update. Going back to Bloodborne after playing Demon's Souls Remake is painful.
A sequel isn't really needed imo. Sure, it would generate a lot of hype but I think trying to outdo what Bloodborne did would be tough. Better to outsource a Bloodborne remaster and work on a new IP instead.

Theres also a rumor that FromSoftware is gona utilize the dualsense . It is so immersive that the blades come out from the controller and stab you each time your character dies.

The first (good) idea I had when I was feeling the dualsense for the first time was how you could use the haptic feedback to "sense" attacks before the enemy makes them. Feeling the air sizzling before a lightning bolt, for example. One image in my head was a FromSoftware type game where the enemy can blind you temporarily, leaving you to parry on sound and feel.
It's exciting to think about what that team might come up with if they dedicated their efforts to that input device.
ID: h8jbnozThere was a little bit of that in the Demons Souls remaster. Every so often you’d get a little jolt/other cue and it was actually kinda helpful. Also when using heavier weapons you could feel the vibrations if you missed and hit the ground, like striking an enormous gong. It was so awesome, I’d love to see a From game that made full use of every aspect of the Dualsense

Imagine using the rumble feature to try to give players a more instinctive feeling of where they're being shot from. With the level of precision the ps5 controller has, I think they could very easily communicate "clock" direction with rumble and with a little bit of practice players could instinctively know where they are being hit from in the game world.

I know it won't happen but God I wish we'd get a Bloodborne 2. The setting and gameplay were so fantastic. I could never jazz with Dark Souls 1 or 2, but Bloodborne sucked me in with the amazing setting, and the fact that you can't just turtle up with a shield. Using guns to parry and the trick weapons were awesome. I also liked the randomly generated chalice dungeons, tho it seems most people did not.

It's also like the perfect game to make a "sequel" to that tells its own story...
Yharnam wasn't the only city on that world that discovered a Great One and plunged everything into chaos - they could do a telling of an Eastern city that did a similar thing, or like Pthumeria or something. Endlessly repeatable without being super derivative (like DS3 sometimes was).
I'd even be okay with a Dark Souls 2 version of BB lol I just want more to do with the IP.

Demon Souls 2. I don’t think Sony remade the first game for a one-and-done. They want that IP to continue.
Bloodborne 2 could happen, but I think most fans are happy with how it ended. It’s not clear where a sequel would go.
Bloodborne remaster could be done by Sony themselves, without FS. If they’ve got FS, I think they’d want a new game.

ID: h8jf060Honestly what would DSS 2 be? It’s dark souls, just in a slightly different dark fantasy world.
The basic gameplay is the same, the only truly noticeable difference was the world balance thingy. Everything else is just Dark Souls before it was called Dark Souls.
And no, the fact that the gameplay feels a bit different doesn’t change the point: the combat system is different from DS1 to DS2 to DS3 but they’re all clearly sequels one to the other. If I called Demon’s souls “Dark Souls 0” you wouldn’t say a word against it until you notice that the lore doesn’t match

As much as I fucking adore bloodborne and think its the game of last generation, I’d much rather prefer they start a new IP. Thats when they’re at their best and most creative, im sure miyazaki feels similarly
