I pay $45 for a year of PS Now. Honestly, it is not that bad for that price. Normally I remote play the games from my PS5 to my Android with a wired Dualsense connection. Works really well.
ID: h9ryqx8ID: h9rzn26Yes. I use a 3rd party app called PS Play. It is $5 on playstore but so much worth it. I have Android 8 and both Dualshock 4 and Dualsense work wired. You also get weak haptics and adaptive triggers when streaming PS5 games.
ID: h9ss15oSorry for the dumb question, but I've never dabbled in this wizardry. You're saying you play your PS5 games away from home using your phone as the screen and connecting your Dualsense to it? How do you turn the console on remotely, or is it always in rest mode?
ID: h9sslc3Actually I have never played away from home though there is an option in PSPlay app (3rd party app not the official one) to do so. I use it locally at home when the TV is in use or I feel like playing something in bed.
ID: h9xys30You can use Sonys remote play app on your phone, tablet, or computer and connect the dualsense via wire or blue tooth. It does need to be set up for it and left in rest mode though.

ID: h9p4eslOn the app, go to the subscription tab in the store. Scroll down to PS Now and it should be the first icon there. should look like this
ID: h9p53wjoh ok, thanks!

The need to improve the pricing model of PS Now
ID: h9qtz3nThe pricing isn't the issue, the actual model is.
They need to step it up to compete with Gamepass.
Try and get studios/pubs to get on board with releasing their content on PS Now so we get newer stuff more often.
As it stands right now, there's hardly any reason to get PS Now unless you're super into playing old shit.
ID: h9pgnhjMeh, the pricing is okay. The service itself needs to improve a lot because currently I don’t think it’s worth the money.
ID: h9pqqrtIf you don’t think the service is worth the current price, how is the pricing okay?
ID: h9q7945They need to improve the content of PS Now.
ID: h9p2pgoWould love a PS Plus/Now sub option that’s like $15 a month
ID: h9p5mxwThey’re both already cheaper than that together with yearly subs - $120 ($60 for each service) vs your proposed $180 ($15 x 12)
ID: h9p0md1They need to improve the lagging too. God of War 1 platforming is difficult enough without freezing mid jump.
ID: h9pbi0oThat's your Internet connection, I just played through with no problems

Taking advantage of this to play red dead 2 and the Witcher 3 for £1

PS now honesty needs to merge with PS plus like gamepass. It's curren currently so half assed
ID: h9ptxq4What's wrong with ps now? No hate just curious
ID: h9pze0uBluntly said, Gamepass is better in every way, shape and form. That's what's wrong with PS Now.
ID: h9q064hI mean, why not just get both? Merging them will just be the same thing.
ID: h9qsywnExactly. Why not make it easier for the consumer? Because right now i don’t see any value to have both.
-
They need to improve the interface, increase frame rates and do something about the input lag.
ID: h9qri32Idk why you’re getting downvoted for something that’s true. Sony’s ps now servers suck ass if you’re trying to stream games. I have an average 90-100 mbps internet speed on my PS5 on LAN cable but damn do PS3 games run bad. Even google stadia can run cyberpunk stable on a low end gaming pc.
ID: h9qrnhhIdk why you’re getting downvoted for something that’s true.
The answer is fanboys.

Not a bad service for the downloadable titles - streaming seems to be kinda shit for PS3 games depending on where you're at. Much better selection than PS+ some months, e.g. the month before last we got God of War, RDR 2, Judgement, and several more. Other months are generic (and some recycle from PS+).

Once again they're insisting you pay via debit/credit card. They really like putting up artificial barriers to people trying their service, don't they?
ID: h9p8yc7You can also use PayPal. If you're scared of them charging you just turn off auto renewal.
ID: h9pazlqOmg seriously :/ I have money on my account but I cant buy because of this. I dont have a credit card and I also dont have paypal
ID: h9pfz61How do you not have a debit card? Do you not have a bank account…. Also it can’t possibly take more than 5 minutes to make a PayPal….
-
No thanks, PS Now is shite, it doesn't even have a search function on PC.
-
Because new client acquisition is more important that perks for loyal existing customers. Makes sense lol
ID: h9rhzsyIt does, a loyal customer is already loyal.
-
Go away PS Now. Bye bye, not interested.
-
If I play a PsNow game and my sub runs out, will the game then stay in my library?
ID: h9p552nnope
ID: h9qz12aThey will stay in your library but you won’t be able to play them
-
Does ps now clash with ps plus game?
-
Do you get the PS5 versions of games or only PS4?
ID: h9p71vqonly ps4 sadly
ID: h9pxtmpWhy do they do it this way? Don’t they actually want people to sign up for PS Now?
-
Still don’t get the difference between PS+ and PS Now. Why are there two services exactly?
So that’s why I don’t pay for or care about either one.
ID: h9renv1I understand you don’t want to pay for it if you don’t understand what the service is about. If you google it for 2 minutes you will find out. Good luck, friend!
ID: h9rent5PS+ is almost required to play multiplayer games online and offers you free games every month for a monthly fee
PS Now is a game rental service for a monthly fee with a slowly growing library
-
You still need to link a credit card or paypal to profit from this offer and PSN wallet credits won't be enough sadly.

When you say wired, you mean phone to controller? I tried using the dualsense via bluetooth with my android and got disappointed, as it's not supported yet 🙁
