- Death Stranding Director's Cut - Preview Trailer
-
Back in my day we had to walk everywhere to set up zip lines, or use ropes and ladders to get places while carrying our own cargo.

-
I'm really excited for the update. Was really hoping we could listen to the soundtrack while out in the world delivering.
ID: hacga1zPlease please please please please this.

This looks awesome. Although I feel like that jetpack thing to prevent fall damage kind of defeats the purpose of most of the traversal throughout the game.
ID: hac96jeIt definitely should have been more of an emergency function. Like you fall off a cliff and are guaranteed not to die, but RNG determines if your cargo is intact or falls off.
ID: hacdci3So do the zip lines once you get em up and running, but it hardly matters by that point.
ID: hacs5o4Setting up zip lines throughout the mountains as soon as possible is an absolute necessity.
ID: hac877zAbsolutely. I think this could potentially ruin the game for people who play it the first time.
ID: hac964tHaven’t watched yet but surely it’s going to be something locked away at the start? Similar to like the gold lvl 3 skeletons you get late game. The game did a really good job of unlocking stuff naturally so I would imagine early game you won’t have access to the jet pack?
ID: hacpgqkThis mechanic would of made me carry on playing.
-
I like that the narrator and the Bridges logo between segments made it feel like an industrial film a company would show to new hires. Good aesthetic choice.
-
Is this the trailer Hideo has been editing personally for 2840 days?
ID: hacjdl1no. This is just a preview
ID: hacto87No way!
-
That is so far beyond what I even hoped for. Wow, cannot WAIT!!
-
Kojima and his team have really outdone themselves with this $10 upgrade, some truly fantastic additions!
ID: hac7cjhI’m so interested to see what they do with haptic feedback and the different terrains we travel on.
This is one of those games where feeling the difference of different terrains in the haptic could be so immersive.
ID: hac81gmFeeling increased haptic feedback the more your boots fall apart would be really cool, lots of things they could do since they went so hard on traversal.
ID: hacdh31I really wish they would allow us to listen to the unlocked songs from the soundtrack outside of the basement. We’re able to connect literally the entire country to the internet. Put it on our cuff links. Fade the song out or turn it off when we encounter danger.
You can assign a song to items created with PCCs like a tower, but they fade out as you get out of range. So they could also let us assign it to things like the hover carrier or the robot legs that we’ll be bringing with us. I know Kojima is big on having lore reasons for why these things are possible, so there’s plenty there. But really, this game introduced me to so much good music, forcing me to spin in circles in the basement while listening as compared to hearing them out in the gorgeous wide open expanses of the world is such a missed opportunity.
If you agree, please tweet at any or all of the following for Kojima, his company, an the game and ask if they’ll implement this change in the Director’s Cut:
@HideoKojima_EN
@KojiPro2015_EN
@DeathStranding_
ID: hachmk0I cannot agree with you more.
ID: hactcomWait a minute it‘s only 10 bucks? Nice.

Fuck yeah. Gunna need the bot mule and catapult to help me repair my zip line network when I get back into this.
Also Kojima took a page straight out of his own VR missions in metal gear solid. The new mission also gives off some clear metal gear vibes. Can't wait to get back into this.
ID: hacp9oyI had that exact thought! Texted my buddy that along with all the other cool stuff, they just sprinkled some MGS in there for fun.
-
Any mentions of dualsense support? Would be amazing especially for this game
ID: hac7dhdIt's been confirmed already, yes
-
we still won’t be able to play music outside of the room, eh?
-
Really interesting inclusions I gotta say. I'm all for it though.
"Action packed" for some things is an interesting direction to go in for this game. Wonder if Kojima felt like he needed to do that or just wanted to?
ID: hac8zmsPeople who blasted the game despite their hype did so as it's a "walking sim." "Action-packed" is def buzzwords for that crowd that bought a Kojima game and didn't continue because they wanted Metal Gear Silent Hills and got emotional baby-coaster sim.
-
They added racing? Lmao this game somehow got even more confusing.
-
This looks really great but I'm not sure I could play through the game again. I mostly loved it, but it feels like it's a one-off experience for me, maybe because of its place in time of covid, or how strange and unique in it is as a big budget hiking simulator. Good for people who have yet to play it though.

Sam Porter Fischer Bridges in Trackmania Solid Death Stranding
-
Aww yea, here to cry in 60fps.
-
Amazing that it's $10 for all this. Sucker Punch needs to take some notes
-
Played about two hours of the game before hearing this was coming. So happy I held off and can't wait!!
-
Now this is worth a $10 upgrade
Looks at Ghost of Tsushima
-
I wonder if any tweaks to difficulty are gonna be made. I finished the game on the hardest difficulty and it wasn't really hard from what I remember, especially things like balancing didn't seem that much more difficult (shooting felt more of a pain than deliveries) New delivery additions look good but hope they don't make everything to easy to navigate. Hopefully there is a good balance of risk/reward depending on the new systems you use.
-
I bought this game for PS4 on sale, but I haven't had the time to play it yet, but it does look a bit heavy I don't know, I hope I'm wrong.
I will certainly pay for the 10 upgrade and play for the first time!
-
Hope they got the cross save situation figured out…I absolutely loved my time platinuming this game - but man I don’t want to start from scratch to get access to this new stuff
ID: hac9spiThe PlayStation blog post from last month addressed if you could carry your save over to ps5. Answer is yes. Confirmed cross-save.
We wanted to ensure that players, no matter where they are in their journey, could pick back up relatively in the same area as they left off when playing the PS4™ version, while also enabling players who have already completed the game the ability to jump to the areas where new content and equipment can be discovered.
ID: hacaffqExcellent. Really one of my favorite games of the PS4 Gen. Love the look of everything they’re adding in.
-
I wonder if they’ll include the Cyberpunk stuff from the PC version.
ID: hact5loAnd the harder difficulties, hopefully
ID: hacuwkcBoth have been confirmed to be part of the Director's Cut. The DLC in that Kojima Productions video with Jay Boor, and the Very Hard mode confirmed by Kojima on Twitter.
-
Does this game have new game+?
-
I really hope they fixed the handling on the vehicles. Driving was a always a pain in the ass.
-
Kojima take my money
-
I‘m kinda tired of all these extras, definitive, directors cut etc. editions. Use your time and money for new projects instead..
ID: hacmovgWe do need some good last gen games to get ported over while they work on new stuff. Especially ones that were famously stuck at 30fps.

Damn kids and their jet packs!
