Technically this is her code veronica design, which if I am remembering correctly, is not from the 90s. Her Resi 2 look had her in tiny pink biker shorts that matched her jacket.

One thing I didn’t like about the remake was that they removed Claire’s black turtleneck. I don’t know, I just don’t think it was right to do that.

ID: hfk6sohYes. I'd have loved it on both her redesigned outfit and especially the classic outfit. The classic outfit looked so off with a vest underneath.
The redesigned outfit was decent, I actually love her new jacket, but it didn't look very 90s at all. Neither did Jill's in the RE3 remake.
I think her hair in this edit looks tragic though even if it is accurate for the 90s. Much prefer the hair mesh we got.
ID: hfk9b0oI think the undershirt top she has in her redesigned outfit works perfectly with the jeans and jacket, it just doesn’t work for her classic outfit since she looks more exposed and uncomfortable with the short shorts and the vest by themselves.

I wish that Capcom went more in this direction for the remakes. It's weird seeing the cast act like millennials.
ID: hfkoo2sDamn, you made me realize that all the OG protagonists are Gen Xers. Chris Redfield was literally born the same year as my mom. Sherry and the Winters are millenials, though.
ID: hfm68onClaire and Rebecca are on the cusp, they might be called "Xennials", but yeah it is a very Gen X-heavy cast, at least among the mainstays.
They introduce a lot of younger generation side characters though. Sheva, everyone new in Resident Evil 6 and Moira are all Millennials, and Natalia is our first playable Gen Z.

That's actually a really good redesign. It fixes the issues of the impractical shorts in cold weather while riding a motorcycle while still clearly being the same design.

One thing isn't 90s faithful. The jeans would be way wide
. No one wore skinny jeans back in the 90s. Women wore them tight on the ass, but they were wider down the legs. -
