Underrated game

Since when has this game been considered "underrated"?
"Undersold" is more accurate, and even then, it sold incredibly well. Just not the sky-high expectations EA had them at.
I swear Titanfall 2 gets talked about more than most games, here.

You pay a couple hundred bucks to a company and they hype up a game for you on social media platforms with fake accounts that look real. They made a bunch of memes like this to hype up the name. It's no secret. The sad thing is it's not illegal.

ID: hifobnlI liked TF2's campaign, probably the most fun I've had in a single player came to date. But multiplayer, was insanely tough or rather sort of a let down in that other players that already maxed out were new players came in had zero chance of winning, probably due to all other players already maxed or something but I couldn't even kill them as they were way to fast or had specific abilities setup that just made them over powered
If they came out with a TF3
I'd like a co-op style version
remove the multiplayer aspect of it, or least make it more balanced
I do like the co-op horde mode with the mechz

I've had over 10 friends start playing multiplayer well after most people were max level or very experienced and they all did fine and some of them are pretty bad at fps usually, I really hate that this keeps being propagated. Some people are just bad at the game and instead of learning and getting better they blame Titanfall that the multiplayer is tough or has a big skill gap.
ID: hifzyz5Hate to say it but you're just not good at the game and that's not meant as a "git gud" insult. My favorite weapon and ability they give you right out the gate. Almost everything you unlock is a lateral upgrade that specializes in some particular form of combat. It takes less than a week to unlock most of it too playing at a reasonable pace.
The game has enough of a skill ceiling and weird abilities that you have to understand to be able to counter that a long standing player will crush a new player pretty easily. But that's a problem for literally any game with a high skill ceiling. If you don't like overcoming that kind of challenge the game absolutely will not be fun. Your opponents were way too fast because they'd learned the shit out of movement system (which all players have) and the levels (definite disadvantage to new players, but that's true of every game) .
It's not that they have the powers and you don't, it's that you don't know how they utilize their powers while you can't effectively utilize the ones you have.
I didn't start playing TF2 until it had been out for years.

Oh nice! This is the next game up on my backlog. Will be firing it up after work today for the first time. Never played the first one either but I hear the campaign is pretty awesome.

Don't make the same mistake I did lol... the first one is multiplayer only. There is no single player story mode. Granted I only paid like $4 for it on sale, so it's not a huge deal, but TF1 multiplayer is dead and there is no single player, so don't bother.
TF2 single player is fuckin awesome though. I got them both on sale like 6 months ago or so, and the multiplayer was a lot of fun, though I've heard it's nearly unplayable at this point due to basically one specific hacker who has made it his life mission to destroy TF2 for some reason.
Totally worth it for the campaign though, it's hella fun and I definitely got my $4 worth.

ID: hifz9o6Actually not destroy titanfall 2 but recreate a canceled project that was titanfall online and is currently to this day trying to get the code to create there own titanfall game (him and 2 other hackers even crashed the apex legends servers on July 4 in 2018 or 2019 I think while the developer teams were enjoying there holiday with there families and then they were called in to fix the issue. It took 8 hours to fix the issue and in turn ruined there holiday with there families, d**k move).
Of course these are all illegal reasons to do this and if they do get caught they will most surely face heavy fines and jail time for there actions. I’ve followed this story with extreme interest. Even one of them is trying to get inside the team to steal the code from there.
Utter stupid motives if you ask me and chances are they are gonna get caught sooner if they proceed with this

ID: hiez45kI played a few games the other day and had no issues. Haven't played since, b/c just haven't had the time, but I hope it wasn't just a fluke that I got in with no issues. I LOVE TF2.

This game isn't really underrated, everyone who plays it says its good or great, it didn't sell well because it came out in between CoD and Battlefield. I personally think its a good game with a campaign that had some great sections and a multiplayer that was fun for a bit but I got bored of pretty fast. It has its fanbase but I don't think it was ever a great game to begin with, just a good one.

Titanfall 2 is an anomaly.
I remember before the first Titanfall game came out, people were talking about what Titanfall 2 would be and how much they wanted it, even then. Now several years after it's release and it's basically meme status with how much you still hear about it around here. I don't know of another sequel that was so anticipated that it was craved so dearly before even the launch of it's predecessor and still promoted by fans so heavily years after another game in the same franchise (Apex Legends) was released.
That said, I do agree, it's a great game.

I’ve been trying to play it and even over look the fact that despite buying that starter pack that unlocks everything I have to buy it again or unlock it manually. However I can’t play with the constant loss of connection to server.

It's a genuine tragedy how short the single player was in this game.

Shut the fuck up about Titanfall 2 already. It's a dead game with too many sweaty tryhards left on it, just like a ton of other competitive games that are 5+ years old. Titanfall is not special.

It is my new favourite shooter, behind overwatch which has just been the ole reliable for my playgroup.
