- I'm painting my favorite Dark Souls locations. Here's the first! Firelink Shrine

There’s just something special about Dark Souls 1 in particular that DS2 and even DS3 don’t capture. It’s part of the reason why Miyazaki doesn’t do (direct) sequels.
ID: hjydx1oID: hjzkq9qI think it's the lack of fast travel for the first half of DS1. There's a serious sense of adventure as you move away from Firelink and it's a great feeling when you finally get to return.

Just paint the death screen and that’s the game

Step 1: Take off equipment to reduce weight
Step 2: Press B to become invincible
Step 3: Level up favorite weapon

Nice artstyle. Do you plan to do these for others games too?

What do you plan on doing next? I would recommend the front of Drangleic Castle, I found that location to be absolutely jaw-dropping!

I think each of the games really excel at this. They each have such a unique atmosphere. I don't know if I could say that Majula is better or worse than Firelink. Kind of an lasagna to curry kind of comparison I think. I love them both for different reasons.
It's a nice problem to have as a fandom when each of your games is so damn memorable, with DS2 being slightly less so.
