Celebrity culture is so annoying to me. Why are people obsessed with people doing completely normal things?
ID: hkhy10dI don't think anyone cares that he's a celebrity playing a game. I think it's because he is the actor who plays the Witcher on tv and he is also an actual fan of the series which is refreshing. There's also some novelty to him playing as his tv character within the game. I don't think it's really that big of a deal though. He is also pretty beloved by fans for being down to earth so I bet that contributed to the popularity of the post. (he's pretty awkward when receiving compliments, he was a fat nerdy child, he appears humble in recorded interactions, etc..). I've noticed that people seem to relate to him a lot online, but obviously we only get such a small snippet into the lives of any celebrity that it's probably wise to take everything with a grain of salt.

I can't help but think of not even 25 years ago, how being a gamer was seen as a huge waste of time, and there was a degree of ridicule involved with it if you weren't a child. Now celebrities are getting praise for playing a game.

I mean, I'm not that impressed tbh. Death March is only hard if you #1 start a completely fresh game (no NG+) and is only hard for like first 1/2 or so of the prologue. Once you get literally any amount of gear it becomes trivial again.
ID: hkhcpe5It can be harder if you will turn off all interface. And very atmoshperic also. Got through almost whole game(only first couple hours with interface), enjoyed it much more than with interface on

Sure Henry Cavill plays with himself during lockdown it's nice. When I do it, it's disgusting, and inappropriate to do in the middle of a zoom call.
