Which one do I jump into first?
2 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:06 ID: hkhdau5

God of War is the most linear on the three.

Ghost will open up the world and get you used to that.

Witcher 3 is the longest and can easily get lost in just side quests.

This right here!

10/10

ID: hkhniob

Nailed it

ID: hkhkb7g

I weep because the gardens aren't restored at my villa. I just had to stop playing. I had like a 100 hrs in The Witcher 3. Somewhere my majordomo is "tsk"-ing disapprovingly.

ID: hkhplpr

Exactly. Good job!

ID: hkhjj8x

All amazing titles but this is a great way to approach them!

God of War Ghost of Tsushima Witcher 3

This is based on the length of the game to avoid getting fatigued (although I doubt it with this stellar combo). Also, not considering final builds for GoW that require multiple NG+ runs. GoT also has NG+ trophies and that new expansion and multiplayer (which is probably what will keep you entertained once you've done two runs of each game). Witcher is just trying different builds with each run and there are so many small details to uncover (xLatis or something like that on YT has been making content on hidden things since the game came out and still posts in 2021- so that'll keep you very busy)

Whatever you decide, you've already won. Great choices. All three are in my top ten PS4 games

ID: hkhhwov

Thank you for your excellent breakdown, what is NG for the uninitiated?

ID: hkhjnzp

Oh sorry NG is New Game. New Game + let's you keep all the stats, armor and currency so you start a fresh playthrough with all the things you had when you finished the last. GoW has new armor that you can only get on the second playthrough (NG+)

Edit: Ghost of Tsushima also has New Game plus content

Ghost! Something about the game, i chewed it up in a weekend. So captivating and time flies while you're playing it and the story felt paced just right.

Then GoW -

Then Witcher as this is a game i was lost in for... months? Lol.

But in for a good time!

Perfect answer

5 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:20 ID: hkhf5a2

God of War. It’s the likely quickest of the three and is one one of the best exclusives

6 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:01 ID: hkhktx5

Sound like a rookie. What you do is. Borrow two more consoles. Two more TVs and then you play all 3 at once.

ID: hkhledd

Haha, I had a kid in 2012 and never really got back into gaming. Lost the ability to play with my toes then, too!

ID: hkhlxt0

Fair. Honestly tho. All great games. Maybe put all 3 of them on play the first 10 mins of each and see which one grabs your attention more in the now. And play that one out first.

7 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:09 ID: hkhm0yz

God, Ghost, Witcher

8 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:12 ID: hkhmedf

Witcher 3 is by FAR the most immersive and you can get lost forever just doing side quests.

The side quests in Witcher 3 are better than main story quests is most other games though.

ID: hki88j8

I’m not a Witcher fan boy but I do love seeing people say ‘the Witcher is over rated’ while praising games that have less work into the story than a Witcher side quest.

9 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:16 ID: hkhenjc

The Witcher 3 is probably the longest, so one of the other 2.

10 : Anonymous2021/11/13 17:55 ID: hkhboe8

God of war, BOY!

ID: hkhrjut

I played through GoW when my son was 1 and jokingly started calling him Boy. He now answers to Boy and is almost 4. I’ve even heard his extended family say it and it makes me laugh every time.

11 : Anonymous2021/11/13 17:53 ID: hkhbej1

Honestly, it doesn't matter they're all stellar

12 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:12 ID: hkhe09h

Yooo actually these are the 3 exact games im playing, Got for second time tho, actually it depends, the 3 have amazing stories, Best gameplay for GOT and GOW, the shorter campaign its from GOT the largest one The witcher, if u put the hardest difficulty, all games will be a challenge but got its a bit more easier. my favourite its tsushima, its still my third day playing wild hunt so i cant tell more but its pretty fun

13 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:02 ID: hkhkzsf

I personally wasn't a fan of The Witcher but I do know that it's long as fuck. So I'd reccomend playing it last.

ID: hkhlgb5

I’m still ‘playing’ Skyrim, so appreciate the advice

14 : Anonymous2021/11/13 17:53 ID: hkhbgat

God of war

15 : Anonymous2021/11/13 17:52 ID: hkhbane

Ghost of Tsushima

ID: hkhc7ji

Ty, Ghost is way out in front, and tbh the one I wanted to play the most. I’ve been out of gaming for about 8 years so catching up on the golden ‘oldies’. So far blown away by Last of Us P1!

ID: hkhgsa2

I’ve also got those 3 and also started with Ghost. Loving it so far!

ID: hkhf69a

Oh then you will want to continue into part 2 but maybe play one of these between 1 and 2.

ID: hkhnchy

God of War is also great. Definitely one of my favorites from recent years

16 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:10 ID: hkhdqpd

I love all three of those game. But I was say Ghost, then GOW, then Witcher. Specifically because of duration. Because they are all fantastic

17 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:02 ID: hkhl166

I got 100+ in dad of war really enjoyable combat and puzzles not to mention dialogue and lore!

18 : Anonymous2021/11/13 20:28 ID: hkhx832

Witcher 3 of course. All the games are amazing bug Witcher 3 is legendary and arguably the best game in it's generation.

19 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:24 ID: hkho2g2

The witcher is the best of these 3, by far. The others are good but I think the witcher is really in a league of it’s own

20 : Anonymous2021/11/13 17:53 ID: hkhbbqf

Witcher

21 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:17 ID: hkhet1j

I would probably go Ghost, God of War and then The Witcher. I'm listing The Witcher last because you'll probably spend the most time in it and I don't want you to feel like you should hurry to get to the next title. All three are excellent titles.

22 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:19 ID: hkhf1vy

Witcher

23 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:44 ID: hkhikz4

Ghost of tsushima

ID: hkhjozr

Already on the go!

24 : Anonymous2021/11/13 18:45 ID: hkhiofj

Tell everyone you know, won’t see them for the next 2 years (probably start with GoW since it’s going to be the “shortest” of the 3)

25 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:03 ID: hkhl2qh

Imo, start with ghost, then god of war to take a break from open world. Then end with witcher 3, make sure to play DLCs hearts of stone then blood and wine as well. It wraps up geralt's story.

26 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:24 ID: hkho1us

GoT for some sweet action. Then the Witcher DLC is a must. Then in 2023 when you have finished it God of War.

27 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:25 ID: hkho6vi

I can say ghost and gow are both 10/10. Never got into Witcher.

ID: hkhogao

I’n the same with Skyrim. It just seemed too…big. Ditto Red Dead 2, it’s almost overwhelming

ID: hkhonbc

I can see that.

28 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:26 ID: hkhodnn

Jumping into them will probably crush them, however I do recommend god of war first

29 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:27 ID: hkhoee0

I didnt like witcher 3 much but can easily say it'll take you the longest.

God of war is a lot more linear, there's some semi open world areas but it's still the shortest of the three.

I finished ghost in about 30hrs doing nearly everything. Its my favorite of the three and probably my favorite ps4 title.

30 : Anonymous2021/11/13 19:28 ID: hkhombv

Well ghost doesn't take as long as the other two to me the whitcher
