ID: hlkix2oThere are scopes now that auto zero for you. You fire one shot at 100 yards, the scope "sees" where it hits on the target then adjusts automatically. It connects to your phone to get data like current weather and elevation as well.
ID: hlkiexcI'm not an enthusiast but from what I've been told it hooks up with your phone or computer for logging purposes and you can dial in your scope.
Then for longer shots in the wild you can make corrections based on data and weather. I would guess there are some with GPS data too.

I came here to say that. I have the atn night vision and it has wifi and Bluetooth to the laser range finder. Electronic scopes are pretty advanced but still hard to give the quality of good glass.

They do today. I have a digital Scope that pairs bluetooth to the phone and can use data from other hunters in the party with their version of Hunters ATAK. ATN digital scopes. mines actually a year old.

I’m pretty sure that there are US military scopes that have GPS connections and some type of internet connection. Because they can account for wind readings in the area and help calculate trajectories needed for targets that have been marked using GPS.

I actually would not be surprised at all if that happens. I can think of lots of uses for a scope with AR and a data connection.
